hello all cheapest insurance deals on a non turbo

I recently had my car resprayed by a body shop "specializing" in restoration. You get what you pay for it would seem.... On sunday morning I opened the car an noticed a little water in the passenger footwell... Up on further investigation it was just a little water...it was about 1 inch deep.... I fished most of it and then removed the rubber bung, to get rid of as much as I can. I then looked at the targa seals and notices that they where the wrong way round.. I rectified this, but still water is seeping through. Question, where can I get new seals from as I think mine are knackered or what can I do to stop it. I'm even contemplating taking it to …

just pulled into work, steam coming from Drivers Side of engine bay :rant: the temperature gauge was normal though? last month the water pump went, temp gauge was right up, and steam galore. whats this now then? how come the temp gauge was fine? Hope this is something cheap and easy :( im dreading driving home :(

Can someone take a look at the picture and tell me what the black clip on the wire loom is for? Don't know if it makes any difference but the car is a LHD.

Hi, I have a 1990 300zx and recently have been experiencing an intermittent issue with very strong petrol smell. I can't tie it to anything in particular, it happens at any time of day, on any kind of road/weather condition, not tied to acceleration or braking or full/empty petrol tank. I have paid mechanics twice in the last year to investigate and they have not managed to find the cause. Anyone have any ideas/similar problem? Thanks, Yours disparingly Jo

when i bought the car i was told that with the aid of a boost controller the turbos will handle 400bhp would it be ok by the rest of the engine or would it rip it apart? and could anybody tell me what a hicas is please or what it does? thankyou

does antbody know which gearbox oil should be in an auto box and should it be clear?cheers

i hhave had my tt for 3 days now it has a uprated auto gearbox which worked perfectly for the first 2 nights but however last night it seemed to be failing to go up or down gears when you want it to except from when you flaw it then it seems ok, it is alright when in hold mode but normal drive seems to ewant to stay in same gear for as long as poss?when it does decide to change up a gear it is quite violent now, the gearbox has only been put in in march this year and came from a 600bhp zx does anybody have anything that could help me?????????????????cheers

Hi all, been a couple of years since I was last on here (long enough for my login to expire!). Just thought I'd say hello, but it might not be for long as I'm selling my Z. Shame really but I've moved onto an Elise after splashing out all the money rebuilding the Z engine with new turbos etc. Anyway, cheers everyone for your help over the years. David

The mrs is going to Tokyo for 10 days on business in october... what should i get her to bring me home for the zed? must not weigh too much and fit in her suitcase/hand luggage.. my initial thoughts are an apexi avc-r in black ;) but i cant think of any alternatives that i might like :confused: ideas on a postcard or in this thread!

Hi everyone. I am the proud new owner of a Z32!! It currently has a triple plated clutch, which frankly I cant deal with! It is booked in for the rear oil seal to be replaced this saturday and I have been told this is the perfect time to replace the clutch. I have heard that RPS are the best, so I ordered one through SRB motorsport. They have now informed me that they cant get the clutch on time!! Does anyone know of somewhere else that I can get any good clutch quickly? I want it to be as OEM as normal, but able to handle the extra power the car has. Thanks in advance, Tom.

Im after tinting my targa's so the light still comes into the cab but shades from the sun slightly. I have targa shades, but with them on it feels like you are in a coffin imo. Has anyone tried this and if so what are your feelings? Cheers Graham

Hi guys, are there fuses located in the drivers side footwell, sorry if this seams a stupid question but just thought id ask.

I had my zed in for its MOT this morning........ Failed on the following: Near Side Steering Rack Boot completely split Split pin missing from Near Side Bottom Ball Joint Both Rear Track Rod Ends need replaced. Both front Brake hoses insecure Too much travel on the handbrake Near Side Windscreen Washer blocked Not too bad i suppose, but i think it's just ruled me out of JAE!:(:(:(

Hi everyone, I new to being owned by a zx lol Iv got a 1987 300zx 2+2 Auto and im having some problems. A few days ago I changed the auto gearbox oil as the manual said with no problems but after replacing the sump I started to refill the gearbox with oil and that's when it all got complicated!! As far as I have worked out the gear box oil dipstick has been changed and is no where near correct! :confused: basically with less than 2lt of oil in the box the dip stick is telling me its way over filled.....over 2 inches above the max line. I have rang Nissan and ordered a replacement dipstick but it will take 4 weeks to arrive. As the cars on ramps with no oi…

My clutch is starting to slip in 4th and 5th under scceloration, so I intending a heavy duty high performance cluitch replacement. So thought of fitting new flywheel. How about an aluminium one? your views welcome.

Just fixed a crazy shudder which went through car (turned out the sub frame was loose) now got a problem when car run for 20 mins or so. First i hear a sqeaking sound from front brakes then soon i feel a binding/sticking from the front brakes and slight judder through the steering wheel..this doesn't go away once it starts...Any advice gratefully recieved

hi all my dad is a member i will be soon if i get this 300zx tomorrow but all depend on a problem its got which i need ur help with the trouble is when starting from cold its hard to start but once warm does not have this problem and if u dont get it started than it floods :confused:
