Happy Birthday Lee:happybday:

Hi all, As you all know we like to keep the club forum as up to date as possible as security and functionality is key to us. Last night just after 12pm I upgraded vbulletin to the latest version of 4.2.2 which keeps us bang up-to-date. Problem is one of our plugins; namely the garage system broke in the progress; luckily I managed to diagnose the fault and put in place a fix to get it up and running again. However in the future this may not be possible as I the current garage platform is near its end of shelve life. We have a few issues currently with it that include style faults and occasional database errors which aren’t that easy to fix or …

Hi all, Just a quick announcement to say that we are switching over to the new Classifieds system as from now. The new system if you haven't noticed can be located from the top toolbar under "Classifieds". As with the previous thread based system only fully subscribed members and traders can actually sell from the system. The new system features - Buy Now, Auctions & Wanted. Every subscribed member is also allocated 1 Featured item which will show below every forum in a rotating banner. When a new item is listed on the classified system a new "Listing and Comments" thread is automatically created so that your particular item can be disc…

OK, Theres been alot of discusion recently on or about the forum rep system and how its works so heres a breakdown ! Firstly theres two parts : Rep Level: How much reputation points they have currently received from other users. Rep Power: How much power (points) the user gives when they give reputation to another user. I'd like to announce the appointment of a new Joint Regional Events Organizer for The NE & Yorks area. Following the merger of the North East and the Yorkshire regions, due to the larger area, and to help Bird (Lee) plan future local meets, the committee (along with Lee) has given its backing to Harby300 (Kevin) becoming a joint REO for The NE & Yorks with immediate effect. On behalf of The Committee, I'd like to congratulate Kevin on his new role within the club; and thank him for stepping up to the role! Richard Smith Club secretary For The Committee

Hi all, I've had to reset the classified section because of a few database faults. The reason this happened is that the software that we were testing was in Beta and when it was properly released I just installed it over what we had at the testing phase. I now know that this has caused a few issues so I've had to completely remove and install the system from scratch. It will take me another 30 minutes or so to setup after which i'll get it turned back on. Sorry about this folks but best get it fixed now rather than have loads of classifieds for sale and lose it all. Cheers Lee

Happy Birthday Anthony :happybday: and hope all is well mate.
