Ok own up, how many of you have had a lump on the side of the head after a back end twitch? I will own up to have two lumps one for booting it to catch up to a Scooby damn those on ramps in the wet, and one for going into a wet roundabout far to quick after burning off the said scooby. Just to add my missus nicked the Zed this morning, I can't belive it she hates the thing.

So following on from my earlier post, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=67402, it seems that I have a different type of targa bag to a lot of peeps, certainly that I've seen any way! They are a heavey construction, quite thick, with padding inside, they come with four clips to hold both bags together whilst in transit and a long strip of velcro to hold the flap down. So who else has these bags, and can anyone confirm whether they are OEM or not?? TIA Dave

I'm currently about to re-do my interior panels, this time in leather, Box Red leather to be precise  I've got a full hide on it's way (should be here tomorrow), it's 9' x 8', which is 54 Sq Feet in area (Yes I know that should be 72 Sq Feet, but a cow isn't rectangular  ) Now I beleive that I won't need all of this, so I'm open to (sensible) sugestions as to what to do with the rest of it?! Sugestion one is to have the handbrake gator made up again. Sugetion two is to make a few handbrake gators up and sell them :D ....... any more ideas?

One of my brothers friends has just taken a job in japan informed me that he may be able to get some chrome light inserts for the 300ZX sent back... I said they are high quality as the are manufactured in mirror plastic and are used units which have been chromed... i know i would really like a pair as they look soo good on a black Zed!!! I think we would need about 20 takers to make it worth while and the price should be about £100 a set... i could distribute them at JAE or post them to people who want a set... Anyone interested?

All this exitement about chromimg headlights and the better lighting for night driving, and costs of £200 and the trouble of taking your lights out as well, I think you should decide what you are after.....looks or brighter lights. Admittedly they really look superb chromed but I bought a set of HID's for £120 plus £25 postage from Australia, and they are absolutely incredible. Its like driving in daylight. I am considering buying a set for mainbeam as they look decidedly yellow. If your into the bling bit and fancy the work of taking your headlamps out, why not just buy some chrome paint at £7.95 and the HID's at £145 inc postage, and end up with the best of both worlds …

I think I deleted some files that have stopped my pc from starting up. Can anyone possibly send or lend me a start up disc for XP? I have very basic pc knowledge so I'm hoping this makes sense! Maybe I could download something from the Microsoft website? Thing is, I'm not sure what! Thanks in advance, any help really appreciated.

How bloody hard is that to do. Started on the centre console cover last night - removed grey tweed. Got some Evo-Stick - thinned it down a bit - painted leatherette and armrest pad - waited 15 mins - stuck it on - adjusted - adjusted some more, got a crease in the corners so adjusted some more, crease in the other corner - adjusted some more - other corner then pulled away and creased - now Im left with a cover which is all crappy round the edges - think Im gonna pay someone to do it. Best quote Ive had so far is £300 for the door cards, and console tweed.

Well Ryan recons its most likely head gasket but gonna do a couple more tests. If it is then thats £1250+vat, DOH!!!!!! So the engines gonna have to come out. What other things should I be looking at doing to save money in the future? Turbos...recon the ones I have in there with the 360degree bearings or whatever it is, or two slightly bigger ones  How much is the next size up and is it a case of putting them on and off I go or Im guessing it needs mapping etc....? Any other things you would recommend?

Right - think Im gonna bite the bullet and PAY someone to fit a leather interior. Seats are already leather (cracked but not too bad). Because I dont have an eye for colour and dont wanna waste my money could you please say on a black car what colour interior you'd go for. Im thinking cream or ivory coloured. Other thoughts are bright or dull red. Seen a bright red one and am not sure if its a bit garish. I know its all down to personal preference but am just after ideas or pics of a black car with diff colour interiors. Cheers
