on swapping my 18's over to the standard 16's I have noticed that one of my 18's isn't perfectly round, it's got a flat edge on the inside rim. is this something a wheel refuber can fix, or should i junk them?

Was just driving down to the south coast for a surf in the missus VW golf, prob cruising just under 50mph. Went through a couple of villages where the limit went to 40mph and a traffic cop was on a junction. I slowed down to make sure I didn't get caught speeding and he saw it and followed me. Stayed up my arse for 10 bloody miles until he decided to put the blue lights on. Tried to make me admit I was speeding which obviously I didn't, then gave me a producer. Took great pride telling me how lucky I was that he didn't clock my speed and that he would have made sure I lost my licence (9 pts already, yes I know). I feel so much better knowing these people are policing our …

Just wondering how difficult it would be to convert an old laptop into a carputer? Powering it shouldnt be too difficult as there seem to be plenty of invertors around, but how would you get the machine to auto start with ignition on? Also what about shut down? Any other issues that could be thought off? (Guessing a decent spec P3 (plus 256 / 512mb should boot quick to Windows ME)

I am trying to source a pair of trainers made by Adidas called 'Goodyear Adi Racer Low'. Now there are quite a few styles in the range, but I am after this specific model which is finished in blue suede. So I saw them in our local Adidas shop and the guy there said because they are a seconds store, they cannot buy in requested stock. The ones they have are size 11 and I want a size 8. Well I've been online and cannot for the life of me find anywhere selling a size 8. 7.5 seems to be the max. Footlocker don't list them and they aren't on ebay. Can anyone help?

one for the sparkies/I.T. guys on here. * bought a new PC a few weeks ago. nae problems with it except graphics card is a major let down (ATI X550) * bought a new graphics card (ATI X850) which requires extra power feed from power supply unit. fitted. nae problems. flying (except the occasional beep while playing graphics-intensive game, dont know whether its cos im holding a direction key down for a while or whether its from new card.) otherwise no problems * try to run new pc from 4-way power point so its mated with new LCD monitor, printer etc. but that tripped the fuse box downstairs. * run PC from its own power point and its fine. nae problems. * our are…

I just had to laugh when i first read this.... The dogs, they had a party They came from near and far Some came in aeroplanes And some in motor cars And when they had assembled (and signed the visitors’ book) Each dog took off its R’sOle And hung it on the hook Yes, they all took off their R’sOle Each puppy, bitch and sire Then a drunken little mongrel Got up and shouted “FIRE” The dogs were in a panic And knowing not where to look Each grabbed the nearest R’sOle From off the R’sOle hook But the local Fire Department Could not be reached by ‘phone So with these mixed-up R’sOles The doggies all ran home Now, t…

   Just to say a big thank you to all you wonderful people who put up great links for Zed related tech stuff. My Zed file is massive now and I've read nearly all of it. I'm a girl who won't attempt anything without a tech sheet/manual to refer to. So thanks again and keep it coming    :hyper:

went to the car breakers yesterday - and they had 2 300Zx's (my lucky day) :hyper: Needed 1 x on button for the aircon (it fell off whilst @ the garage and they lost it.. hmmm) 1 x glove box - coz the clips on mine broke and it stays open all the time.. so i just took it out... 1 x drivers seat if in good nick, coz i have a little hole in mine which is getting annoying... And other bits and bobs... . Well the cheeky car breakers sold me the whole air con unit (as they didn't want to give me the button alone.. :headvswal £35 wasted for one button The glove box is £7.50 - but the car is sat right up on top of a 55 reg X5 (what a twat…

I've got an Alfa dealer near me and I've past it many a time and noticed the Brera parked outside and my god... I have to say that it is stunning! I popped in today on my way back from loafing from the work that I NEVER do to have a ganders and I was absolutely gob smacked on the gorgeousness of the thing!!! I remember when the 350Z and the RX-8 first came out, I was off to the showrooms like a rat up a drain pipe to see them and to be perfectly honest I felt a bit disappointed when I left. Yeah don't get me wrong they are nice cars but not quite what I would call stunning. But my god this new Alfa is amazing, one thing I liked was the guages, Olio for oil …
