General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Got my Z back on friday from phil at CnS wood :bow: , my act street clutch gave up the ghost 3 weeks ago so i ordered a max street tt organic from smithy :bow: , and sent my car to phil. and he had an XTD lightened flywheel in the workshop, brand new, ordered for an NA, but wont fit, so i bought that and phil fitted em, along with the SGP pivot ball from smithy. Massive difference in driveability, the act clutch was heavy and juddery, non of that with the max tt, lighter, smoother and now its beded in, bites a lot sharper aswel, lightened flywheel? not a massive difference realy, find when gearing down, there's less resistance from the engine and it blips slightly qui…

cant remember now, but they sorted me out last year! are they still a member on here??

Just been looking on the traders site i posted on thier 2 weeks ago without anyone getting back to me i also see others on thier not getting the same service. I know all arnt like that but it is a pain at times, :headvswal can not see the point of them on their if they dont answer our questions, i suppose it is just an advert for them without aftermarket sales help etc..oh well

Just had a ship dock here, on my way up to see the Captain, I stopped off to have a chat with one of the cargo superintendants on the car deck, when I came across a car I'd never seen before. Generally I hate Daihatsu and this is no exception to that rule. It's a car called the 'Trevis'. Don't think it's available over here, all the ones on this ship were all destined for mainland Europe...poor buggers. It doesn't look too bad here, in the flesh, it's absolutely vile. They've tried to take styling queues from the Mini...and failed misserably. Even the interior has stupid litte gauge pods that try to resemble the ones in the Mini. :hurl: :hurl:

I need to skive off work for about 3 to 4 weeks and need a type off illness to say to them that i have...........what could i say? As you may know i've had a ticking noise coming from the top of the engine, someone mentioned that it could be a lifter sticking so i decided to get the engine oil changed. I brought the car to a tyre fitters that also "specialise" in minor servicing.. I provided them with a new oil filter an engine flush and 8lts of Castrol Edge 10w 60 fully synthetic oil, I told them that i wanted them to put the engine flush in and run the car for a short while to thin the oil out and then drain the engine out. I then wanted them to flush the engine out with some of the new oil to make sure that all the engine flush was gone, change the filter and fill it with fresh oil.. sounds simple…
