Right I'm sure we all know that the above they are a fixed mesure of speed and distance, but how much speed is each marking equivelant to?? Where would I find this info out? Anyone got any info as MOT people I've spoken to don't seem to know how much speed each Mark mesures and the Crown prosecution tell me to speek to the MOT even though they are relying on this information to procecute people. I always thought that each mark was 1 mile an hour as there are 30 marks and anything exceeding the speed limit by 30mph is an instant ban.

The following are good laws that govern our everyday existence!! *LAWS OF THE NATURAL UNIVERSE* *Law of Mechanical Repair*: After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch or you'll have to pee. *Law of the Workshop*: Any tool, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner. *Law of Probability*: The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act. *Law of the Telephone*: If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal. *Law of the Alibi*: If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the very next morning you will…

As I walked down the busy sidewalk, knowing I was late for an important interview, my eye fell upon one of those unfortunate, homeless vagabonds that are found in every city these days. Wearing what can only be describes as rags, carrying every worldly possession in two plastic bags, my heart was touched by this person's condition. Some people turned to stare. Others quickly looked away, as if the sight would somehow contaminate them. Recalling some long ago Sunday School admonition to "care for the sick, feed the hungry, and clothe the naked", I was moved by some powerful inner urge to reach out to this unfortunate person. Yes, …

...a 1955 MG Magnette ZA. 1.5 litre straight 4. used to belong to my grandpa but will shortly be up for sale. hadn't moved for about a year, but a simple battery swap (and a bit of choke) and she started up after about 30 turns. steering's pretty darn heavy, but only seemed to be about two turns from lock to lock! once she got going she drove like a beaut! she'd been all around Ireland back in her day. it'll be a shame to see her go. hopefully an enthusiast will take good care of her. thinking about it, it would have been good to take her to Ashby Folville to sit with other vintage cars but its too late now.
