Anyone know where the crankshaft is supposed ta be when the timing tool is fitted?? The car came to me with a broken belt so I couldn't mark it with ref points. The tool would have me fit the belt with No 1 Cylinder at TDC and the valves open on the same cylinder "I don't think so" all the 16V engines are ment ta be the same and yes I do have the autodata info but it doesn't help

They seem good quality to me, (connectors etc.) and were a doddle to fit this afternoon. All I had to do was change one spade connector to a bullet connector on each light. I'll wait until it is proper dark and go and give them a test drive and let you know what I think. Only time will tell as to their durability!

My PC took a nasty knock, and turned itself off. On restart I discovered It had reverted back to what looked like a fresh windows install as I had lost everything inside the (c:/documnts and settings > username > local settings) folder. Managed to sort most stuff out by setting everything back up, except microsoft outlook ! My outlook .PST File is lost ! Im quite a heavy outlook user with several years worth of of emails, contacts, calendar, notes..etc...that i rely on for personal and business !! Searched hard disk, its not there.....what can I do ? :cry:

OK, this is not a sexist rant more an observation! I am quite particular about the interior of my car being clean. In this weather I am not so bothered about the outside but as I sit inside it, I give it a hoover once a week and ensure it has a nice air freshner too. BUT, the second my wife gets in the car she leaves footprints on the carpet. After 18 years with the company I have come in tonight to find they are offering redundancy packages, for me it would work out at about £ 25,000. having been passed over for promotion a couple of times not because I'm useless but I speak my mind which it seams some companies dont like, I am so tempted to take the money and run. Trouble is the pay is pretty good even though I'v long lost interest in the job and company. What advice can anyone give please.

Finally finished downloading an hd rip of terminator 3 into divx format weighing in at 3.98 gig, just big enough for a normal dvd. The picture quality is fantastic and easily as good as blueray/hd-dvd Another format is H264 format on the mac, excellent picture quality and a small footprint. So my gripe here is why should you bother buying a new super expensive player when they could just use divx/h264 codecs to compress the hdtv signal into a file format that will fit into a normal dvd and just uprate the chips to decompress the files in realtime? I might be buying the hd-dvd format addon drive for the xbox 360 (£129.99) next week so i'll see if it's a…

i am off for my MRI scan today, two different scans, one called a contrast scan. problem is we have found out the scan should have been done in the first 24 hours after that the longer it takes the less it will show anything, they are saying it will not likely show anything unless there has been a bleed. we have to wait 7 more days for the results then and then to see my neurologist. things are improving here, my speech is slowly improving, but I'm still slurring things, my vision is better just a little faded and blurry so I'm off to the opticians. i still do not have the full use of my right side, its still weak and loss of some feeling there also. …
