Might be handing my company car back soon as I'll benefit more from an extra £350 in my pay packet than I will do having a new car. If all goes to plan, going to be looking at a number of cars. Probably a Vauxhall Calibra (8v)...late version. I know what you all think...Vauxhall rubbish. But the last production ones came with air con etc and the 8v engine can be maintained with a knife and fork....and I know Vauxhalls inside out. The 2.0 8v is a reliable a robust engine and parts are cheap. The other car I'm looking at, is an Audi Coupe (K/L/M reg...with aircon). I know practically nothing about them. I'd more than likely go for the 2.0 16v model as I'll have no…

Was over at Leon's today looking at a few things for the V8 conversion. He had this Chevron historic racecar in his workshop. Its running a 900bhp yank V8 and Leon was just finishing off the new exhaust system. Its a proper work of art, made in 321 stainless which is a bugger to work with. Apparently there is 200 hours work in them!! Internal view of collectors, notice the peak to ensure minimal flow disturbance as the streams join, very few people will go to those lengths. Edit: Photos not working, will attach as thumbnails!

I found this on TT.net See how you do, but 1 or 2 of the answers are a little iffy to me. Easy ----- 1. Will 2+2 targa roof segments fit a 2 seater? 2. What is the size of the bolts which hold the centre nose panel on? 3. The VG30DETT engine is used in what other cars? 4. Which are bigger, the rear or front brake disks? 5. Would a 2+2 NA in 3rd gear at 3500rpm be doing the same speed as a 2 seater TT in 3rd at 3500rpm? 6. In which countries other than Japan was the Z32 labelled a Fairlady? 7. What Mitsubishi part is frequently prone to error on the Z32? (asking this cause my Magna loving brother is sitting here watching me ) 8. Which has a better …

If you wanted to accelerate as fast as possibe in an automatic car do you just put it in drive and put pedal to the metal? Also how fast is the gear change on an auto zed? Just wondering as in my search for a new car I may have to get an automatic (since its american) and since I've never driven one I feel I may have been shunning them unfairly.

… I think! (no comments from the peanut gallery!!) Just been to hellfrauds to get some power steering fluid..... I had parked opposite some fella sat in his car eating his KFC... I pop the bonnet – and am about to start the ‘regular’ process of topping up my power steering….. When he winds his window down and says ‘Oi love, do you know what you are doing – would you like some help’ Loads of answers came pouring into my little brain at once… a) doesn’t look like you need help eating that – you look like you’ve had a lot of practice in the past b) Um... I’ve had the car for 9 months and judging by the amount of times I’ve had to top up the st…

Copied from another forum: THIS IS REAL NOT A EMAIL THING DOING THE ROUNDS PLEASE MAKE IT STICKY FOR ALL TO SEE. I use several forums and a certain person has arrived and is making a LOT of money, £1000's from us. Selling non existant parts to people on various car forums. So far I know of about 5 different ones he has used and has made a serious amount on each. BEWARE WHEN BUYING ANYTHING ONLINE THROUGH A PRIVATE AD, HE ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL, WONT ALLOW COLLECTION AND HOLD THE BIGGEST STORE OF SOUGHT AFTER PARTS FOR ALL MAKES APPARENTLY. So, there I am in the laundrette putting my clothes into the washer and this bird is sat opposite and she says (really sarcastically) "do you know what your doing there mate". The cheeky fookin cow, I nearly :slap: her. How dare she assume that because I'm a man I don't know how to load a fookin washing machine. I laughed and said "yeah whatever bitch" and continued. I wasn't staying around to listen to any more of her chauvinist bullshit so I left. I had a quick walk round town and hoped she wasn't there when I got back. The good news: she wasn't The bad news: I'm gunna look smashing in pink and the fire brigade said that the smoke damage will be permanent a…
