Anyone ever suffered a torn calf muscle? I had an "incident" last week whilst pushing a car, was a bit stubborn up a little rise so gave a real heave with my left leg and felt like something tapped me on the back of the leg, I looked around expecting to see something, however then the pain alerted me to something much worse! jeez the pain was excruciating and quickly got off my feet, sitting for a moment I still could not work out what had hit the back of my leg? So that was me stuffed, ice pack and leg elevated to reduce any swelling, do not do doctors or hospital, daft I know but most things I just get on with and they get better eventually, but 5 days on and …

I know quite a few people on here run their own business, thinking of taking the plunge and buying an existing business. What advice do people have regarding doing the books? Is it easier to outsource or is it straight forward to learn and pretty good with numbers. Any other tips?

As title - is it me, or does it seem that car insurance prices have got a bit more sensible again this year...? Mine (2009 Merc SLK 350 daily driver) and Julia's (2006 Rav-4 XTR) insurance are up for renewal in a couple of weeks and I have been quoted the very reasonable premiums of £253 and £191 respectively!! That's both with Admiral - FC with protected NCB, courtesy car and legal cover included, plus reasonable excesses too!! Result... Richard:rockon:

sitting here watching the news talking about the dangers of being on a bike, the fact that deaths and accidents are on the up, and saying they need this other device fitted to warn drivers of thier wereabouts only to cut to some film of local traffic lights where not one not two but three cycles ran solid red lights. i think for a start they should pay more attention to the road and thier spacial awareness and should be charged like anyone else on a bike and in a car. rant over.

First off this is not a for sale thread...... although it could turn in to one, if it does i will post in the reverent section... Right now that the Zed is finished, and with me having the bike and the Mrs with an 08 plate Astra SRI i feel that it maybe time to sell the Zafira. Now its a decent spec (elegnace, which was top of the range) 2.0 diesel on a 52 plate. 133K on the clock, nothing with it, and just had an MOT. now ive been offered as a swap for a 5 Series iSE its the 2.8 with tiptronic gear box its a 99 on a T plate. full leather and all the toys. TBH i'd probably just end up selling it on after a few weeks playing in it. but the question is this.…

I made this as I think the 1uzfe needs a power boost and all the kits for sale cost 3k+ This is just a rough draft to get everything positioned, the next one will be 10mm lower ( currently 34mm taller than a standard plenum) and required less welding and the parts will be cut from entire sections rather than pieced together with bits I had sitting :) I also have a ZF gearbox from an e36 m3 / 328i that getting an adapter made to manualise the adapter on the cheap. I already do the z33 box to 1uzfe but the z33 box is hard to get an a bot too expensive.

I have heard there is translucent sound insulation for glass. I get a lot of noise - rain noise - on my velux windows. They're double glazed, but was wondering whether anyone knew of anything on the market that might help reduce it some more without going down the route of getting them tripple glazed?

Hi All, I have a non Z related query - maybe this should be in the off topic forum? Mods please move if this is the case. To cut a long story short - I purchased a computer from gumtree some time back. I have been using it no problems for a month or 2. Anyways it popped up - updates are due, so, I updated. Since then I get a message every single day the version of Windows in not genuine. I do want to get this resolved asap. My question is what are my options? The cost of buying Windows seems rather expensive in comparison to what I paid for the tower? To be honest I didn't know it had a counterfeit version of windows installed.
