the situation: at the back of my parents garden is an area of land that currently contains my workshop, an open patch of ground used for parking and a very old single bay garage, also used for paking. Country wide came along and developed the land around then and now one poor sod has to look out onto the eyesore of our garage and compond every day. Although the guy is a total @rsehole, he's wealthy and has offered to pay for a completely new garage to house the cars as long as we agree to take down the existing one. There are other issues involved like a change of access rights so it's not as cut and dried as all that (and also why we've taken legal advice on the matter) …

Im thinking of buying a Sat Nav to keep in the Zed, Ideally so I can download Shell garages as a point of interest, is Tom Tom the best to get? Also any links to to good suppliers. Also, thinking of an MP3 player, is I-pod the one to get? not interested in video, just music. Anyone used the unit that allows the I-pod to play through your radio (FM frequency), or is cable connection best for quality. Thanks Barry

Just been reading a thread on pistonheads about the best handling car ever being between a Lancia Delta HF Integrale and a Honda Integra Type R... :headvswal If you were to name the top 5 handling cars - I bet none would be in that list. Whats yours - and please keep it to cars you have driven. 1. Lotus Exige 2. Caterham 7 3. Mazda MX5 4. Nissan 300ZX 5. Focus ST 225

  10. This is what they think of us. They don't give a flying f6ck about anything bthat lining their own pockets and having a ball at our expense. Thhis is where your tax is going. How they get away with this is beyond me. Remember, this information was a STATE SECRET until Blair left. Rotten to the core, the whole system. There are charities on the TV crying out for a couple of quid a month to help those in need and they spend our money like water. OOOHH I'm boiling   http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article2140355.ece

I was down by the river with some people last night, one of the guys had a flat tyre on his evo so we're all standing round watching him fix the wheel. In the end the space saver didnt fit cos of the big calipers so he put the flat back on, let the car down and put some gel in it. Theres another guy whos just bought a scooby 320 (one of those blue things with gold wheels), to be fair to him it was black. Anyway hes standing with us looking at the wheel and he says (this is great) " dont worry, u'll be fine, its only flat at the bottom" Idiot! I burst out laughing, its not gonna be flat at the side is it, then noticed he was being serious and none of…

The next time you find yourself on a plane, sitting next to someone who cannot resist chattering to you endlessly, I urge you to quietly pull your laptop out of your bag, carefully open the screen (ensuring the irritating person next to you can see it), and hit this link http://www.thecleverest.com/countdown.swf

A guy a few doors down from me has just bought this for a bit of a laugh. Ok, so it's not the real thing, but it's been done very well, even the wheels had to be specially imported. It's the same GMC Dayvan with the V8 engine used in the A-team series, huge great big captains chairs etc. Has all the A-team trimmings etc. Even the rear spoiler is an exact replica. Sorry for the poor quality photo, can't find my digi cam and I had an old phone on me....will try and get some better photos at some point.

my cousin has a bmw 325, which he took into a garage to get the tappets set (just a bit of maintenence, were noisey) anyway the guy that done it over tightened it and when my cousin opened his car up a bit it snapped, so he took it back and they put new tappets in and did alll the new belts and cam belts and so on two days ago (atfer a week of driving fine) it just died on him (apperently sounded like a bag of hammers) and wouldnt start, so he took it back again and the guy reckons it has dropped a valve  , but apperently it had nothing to do with them, the guy reckons he can turn the engine by hand about 90% of the way round so thinks its just one valve fo…
