    Just thought I'd post up a few pictures from my outing on Sunday, done about 6 days now and still loving it. So take one cheap £300 BMW and about £250 to weld diff, hydro and buckets seats and away we go!

    Watching various news thread and videos today the madness that has spread across the UK is like the start of an Apocalypse. I seen a clip of stores in Blackpool and Closer to home in Irvine where there were riots of people fighting over a cheap 32" tv in a fashion of 'this is the last tv on earth and its mine', lol I'm just glad folks over in the uk don't have guns as heard someone got shot over a tv in the states. Madness

    I was watching the world go by this morning, when over my right shoulder an eruption of noise and water occurs breaking the silence and scaring the living day lights out if me. Bear in mind I'm sat on a small peninsula of mud with about 6-10 ft of ice cold flood water around me. It turns out to be a group if otters. Ignore my creepy "I can hear you breathing" statement as I pull out my phone and they scatter. Before I pulled my phone out they were less than 5 feet away. I see them all the time but they don't normally explode out the water under my nose. Anyway enjoy;

    Evening chaps, sure we have a few sparkies here. Just doing the bathroom ATM and wish to fit an extractor fan. I've chosen one that's suitably large for the bathroom and an inline 240v model, this was for a few reasons but mostly for a safety aspect. It requires a switched live permanent live and neutral. We have an electric shower and the instructions recommend to use the supply from the lighting. This means everytime the lights go on for a wee the timer will be on for 20 minutes, seems a bit silly. So I thought I could utilise the shower switch. Pre switch live=permenant live Post switch live= switched live Pre switch neutral=neutral Does that seem accepta…

    As is ever the threat to our democratic rights in this country, being undermined by the rights/ beliefs/ opinions of the few, being forced upon (by law) of the majority, here we have an example of something that is closer to home for Car clubs and enthusiast by threatening their very freedom to show drive and meet with their cars! A ruling in the Birmingham area has upheld a petition to Ban!, car road racing and parades!. The Ruling refers to complaints of large gatherings of cars (up to 250) in the area, but the new enforcement could be applied to as little as two or more vehicles! I have no issue with any rules that stop idiots street racing whether on roads o…

    Some of you may remember that my missus, Fran, did the Race For Life earlier this year. She did incredibly well considering the last time she'd have ran a distance of anywhere near 5k would've been when she was at school! :lol: Anyhoo, her and her younger sister are doing another 5k run next Sunday (in the freezing North East weather, no less!) and they're raising money for Stray Aid, which is a charity local to us that takes in, looks after, reunites and rehomes stray dogs. I actually rescued a Collie pup a couple of years ago and took him there, and they took superb care of him until his owners (whose details they found from his chip) were able to come and collect …

    Will our luck ever change ! This week was the 1st anniversary of me becoming ill after the bodged op, well to be precise it was Monday 21st. To be fair I feel much better than I have in many years which is a good thing, sure this week would maybe sad on reflection but today is our 7th wedding anniversary and 1 year one from the emergency op as well, so at least things will be normal this year; WRONG If you ever catch someone driving in flip flops then please slap them, at 8.300am on Monday the wife calls, a woman doing the very thing has re-ended her car!! So now she is in a right state and injured as she was stationary and the woman was doing 30-40mph. The car…

    I have a Mercedes that has rattle at the rear, the rattle only happens when coasting, as soon as the power is on it stops. Its difficult to explain but at very very slow speeds its a creak, but as the speed increases to say 25mph and above its a rattle, only heard when hitting bumps in the road and coasting. I have tried driving with the boot popped, the roof slightly open, the boot stripped, someone else in the car feeling around for loose trim and nothing. Interestingly though, If its rained and the road is wet the creak/rattle isnt there, so I am guessing it might be something underneath the car, are there any components/bushes that are known to rattle/creak,…

    Lets say, hypothetically, that I was importing a vehicle from the States. It is/could be a 1941 vehicle. Or maybe a 1945 ? Whats required once its landed ? Roadtax exempt ? What regulations for the m.o.t. ? SVA, etc ? Just making plans ! Alan.........

    For many winter starts in a set date, for others it's the first frost but to me it's a feeling. Your just suddenly aware that autumn has gone and winter is talking hold. The river looks like willy wonkas chocolate river and has put about a meter on this week. So I'm sat here and I took a few pictures of what things looked like this morning. Still plenty of ducks about though, somewhere off in the distance I can hear their fate.
