Hi everyone havent been on in a while i know but i feel like crying so thought it would be good to come here. Torrential rain in dublin today, flooding in places, went to drop the missus home and came up against one, decided it wasnt too bad by the look of it so drove in, turned out to b a foot deep n ended up stuck in the mini with rising waters. Managed to push her out but she is now half full of water and wont start..... Sounds like time to cry.....oh no not yet, went to a garage this morning found a lovely 2002 Laguna offered brilliant deal including trade in.....cant see it happening now!

Just as the crack in the z's windscreen is starting to grow; yesterday I cleared the garden of my old house and did a few runs to the tip in my citreon. Putting logs in, mate couldnt get one to quick fit, shoves it in and puts a foot long crack in the windscreen! Still got no glass cover! :headvswal

I've currently got a set of rather good looking 17" alloys in need of a refurb but I've never heard of the make before and I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me with more info on them or the maker? Each of them has a centre cap that says "Designed by Clive Gem(?) Ballon(or Buller?)" (not entirely sure if this is correct as the signature is a bit hard to read!). This signature is also engraved into the face of each alloy (see photos below). If I didn't already have a set to go on I'd be keeping these as I've always been a sucker for a five spoke wheel with a nice dish but needs must when the Devil drives so they'll probably be up for sale shortly. :rolle…

(sorry Matt, not you - its another Matt) :D People post amusing stories, videos, daft situations and all sorts of other light hearted stuff - and generally that makes us happy. However, to see this fellas pretty poor dance, with different people of the world at different locations, without shame or pretence, has raised me much more than probably the best joke. There is a nice side to life.... :) I wish I went on that journey....

My uncle has just retired and is looking for a classic car to restore as a hobby to keep him busy. He wants RWD - convertable - manual - and nothing new - it has to be 50's, 60's or 70's latest.... (remember he is an old codger). With a budget of upto 5k All I can think of is a Triumph Stag, Fiat 124 or Sunbeam Alpine/Tiger. I dont think condition is all important - because he has pleanty of time to kill now. Can you think of anything else to suggest.
