I used to buy and sell all kinds of stuff, books, car bits, cars bikes+ allsorts. Lately i've had enough, i tried to sell my bike, sold 'buy now' to a nigerian scammer, then again to a us scammer, then high bidder was 'unable to pay' I finally sold it through local ads. This on top of being charged fees+ final value fee each time. Foolishly i put my zed on there , as i need a quick sale. Now they just 'pulled' my advert, due to the words 'i'm not easily offended, make me an offer' Tiresome. Sod em, might just put another ad in the local rag. :slap:

Right miffed this morning, spent two hours last night trying to solve a boot problem on my main PC, only to finally give up and decide I now need a new main hard drive. How it came about...... I loaded some software from a manufactuers original CD, then it needed a re-boot, as it was re-booting it flashed a blue screen up (not enough time to read it) and re-booted and kept on doing this from there on. I couldn't even get into the Boot Menu to try and boot from CD  I did manage to Boot from CD by disconnecting the power to the main HDD, and check my second HDD, which is fine as far as I can tell. So I've got a new HDD coming so will have to re-load everyt…

Had a problem with my iphone 3G 'Pay & Go' for the last few days. Incoming calls were going straight to voicemail so nobody could call me. Txt's were taking approx. 4-6 hours to come through  Checked with o2.. No reception issues in my area  Took the phone to my local Apple shop in Southampton today to see if they could take a look at it for me and advise anything (like bin it, and buy another). They booked me in with their techie for 6pm tonight.. "Sorry Sir, it's not fixable" :( The 3G function had malfunctioned :( 6.10pm I walked out of the shop with a brand-new £400 iphone as a free replacement. No quibbles, nothing, just "sor…

As most of you know my dog has been going through the wars of late so thought i would update you all. After we had tried the anti biotics for a month or so and she still had pain the vet advised us that its time to do a biopsy and if while in there he could remove anything he would try. He did advise us there is a big risk as the mass is around the main nerve in spine!! Anyway he did the op a couple a weeks ago, phoned us after and was very worried, he said to prepare for nerve damage and possibly as bad as she may not be able to use her right rear leg as it was so small where he was working and to take s biopsy was hard. So you can imagine we had a re…

I have a question regarding a Poogeot 205 CTI 1.6 I have just acquired which lets just say someone has been playing with quite a bit!! Anyway trying to put the wiring back together to see what kind of condition the engine is in and I got a little confused. Now can anyone tell me where the Positive and negative leads are suppose to connect too on a 205? In the Haynes it appears it is actually the negative lead that connects to the starter and the alternator. But that doesn't make sense to me and if that is correct where would the positive lead connect too? The car is a 1988 model btw Any help would be greatly appreciated because the guys on the poog…

Today was 'almost' disastrous. I have always considered my car to be quite safe in the garage while im out at work but earlier today my neighbour had his coal deilvered and the driver run into my garage with his truck (its a stand-alone garage and not attached to the house) He managed to move the whole thing 11 inches backwards and twisted it very badly. Naturally when I initially looked at the damage outside I feared the worse but upon prising the door up I found the Z didnt suffer a single scratch..how not is anyone's guess but anyway I pulled it out of the garage and put it safely out of the way. I went to look at the garage in more depth and as I grabbed the door…
