You will all be aware of the Free Prize Draw for 3 Seat Ibizas promoted by DVLA if you renew your tax disc on-line. Does anyone ever win? According to DVLA ' Details of prize winners will be provided at http://www.dvlaprizedraw.org ' Not on there! - just general info & no mention of any previous winners. There are also various posts on 'Tipsity' doubting the integrity of the competition. Can anyone add any information? Either to confirm it is dubious at best or provide info on where winner details can be found. Surely the DVLA as a government agency wouldn't run a 'Blue Peter' competition & expect to get away with it?

I'm currently getting all the plumbing in place to install a new bathroom which will have a concealed 3 way bath/shower mixer valve. This morning i have channelled out the hole to fit the concealed shower valve, however, the valve required a 110mm recess and the blockwork is only 130mm. I chain drilled the outline to the correct depth but inevitably when chiselling i found myself into the cavity (the top middle part was the top corner of a block that fell off! otherwise it would have been a fairly neat cut). My question is basically... does this matter or should i fill the void? the wall will be tiled and the shower valve controls mount around a steel plate as per th…

I just had one of those moments..... .... drove an absolutely immaculate red ferrari 599GTB down the motorway from Citywest (outside Dublin) to Naas and back. My God what a thrill. One of only two in the country from an apparently very limited production run. Power - savage but controllable (obviously with traction control turned on) Gear change - instant paddleshift (fastest ever on a production car apparently taken from the ferrari 2004 F1 car) Braking - immediate Styling inside - absolutely gorgeous Styling outside - absolutely gorgeous Drive - fantastically smooth Did I give it the beans - absolutely! No wheel spin with the traction on. I…

me and my bro want to mess around with a car for a track toy/learning curve with boosting cars..... right i know some will say "dont bother it will only blow up" etc but this is the whole point we want to try stuff on a spare car. right our idea is to possibly turbocharge a 1.4rt e7j clio. currently 80 bhp. i think i have calculated the thickness of headgasket required for the optimum 7.9:1 ratio as the old r5 gtt used. now my problem comes with the fuelling aspect of it. the 1.4 rt engine (e7j) is a single point fuel injection system. now i know the injector will not flow enough fuel to sustain boost so was toying with an idea for a secondary inje…

big heads up to all cat owners on here we tragically lost a kitten at the weekend it was struck down and died within 24hrs... some lilly pollen dropped onto the window sill and it licked it off its fur/paws...we've had cats for over 20 years and never heard of it but its very real and so i'd recommend all those with cat n kittens to check the following information regards chris Members of the plant genus Lilium produce a chemical, present throughout the plant, that can cause a cat to suffer fatal kidney failure. It can be deadly for a cat to simply bite into a lily leaf or petal, lick lily pollen from its paws, or drink water from a vase containing cut lilies. Ea…
