Just started training for a triathlon. i used to be a good cyclist when i was younger. im now 31 and slightly over weight and unfit. just been out with the club tonight and im dead, got a bad cramp in my calf and can hardly walk. anyone else done this before, please tell me it gets easyer. triathlon is in 9 weeks time, is this anywhere like enough time?

hey up everyone, im after a magnetic proximity switch to work on a 12v circit, which can carry enough amperage to operate a simple on/off solenoid. does anyone know of anything like this? as all the proximity switches / hall effect sensors i have seen can only handle a very small current. please could someone who knows about this kind of thing put me straight here as its becomming a bit of a debate here lol. cheers guys!!!!! :tank:

.....is it just me or is it shite? To put it bluntly, I rarely have time (or inclination) for most TV so I won't pay for cable, sky etc etc. Instead I have Freeview which came built in with both TVs in the house. But it seems the reception has gotten a lot worse over recent months; watching (or recording) on digital sometimes brings up lots of interferrance, almost like pixellating the picture. This happens on all channels, including One to Five if watched in digital as opposed to good, old fashioned, reliable analogue..... Any ideas please folks - could it be the aerial or is digital TV just rubbish? If it's the latter, heaven help us all once analogue dis…

I love my iphone & now I am out of contract am hanging on for the new iphone 5 to come out :hyper: Apple like to keep specs undercover until about 5 mins before release date so there is lots of speculation - what do you think/hope it will have?! Things I have read are: dual core processor from ipad2 slightly bigger screen 8 meg camera with better flash NFC built in for a virtual wallet 64gig version loads of more obscure predictions also! Me and my mates were discussing what we think each others cars could do a lap of Nurburgring in, factory spec cars such as Focus ST, DC5, DC2, S2000 and of course a tt Z. Saab have looked at it and have found a whole heap of stuff wrong with it, and say the engine oil is low and has a leak - this despite the garage saying they have fixed this and saying that WE caused the fault by putting TOO MUCH oil in the car! They also note reverse gear is totally worn, the 5th gear selector sticks, the engine over revs when changing down and the clutch biting point is too high. They have just done a simple check, there's no point in paying them to investigate further at the moment because I have to use a Trading Standards appointed independent mechanic to give the car a full check over. At the moment, I am going to have to SORN the car and stop using …

My mate bought a Land Rover Discovery today, its got a lift kit on, big nobbly tyres etc and its got plenty of off road ability and experience. Its pretty cool but I prefer the looks of the Range Rovers, Grand Cherokees, Pajero/Shoguns. Far nicer inside for a start. Can anyone advise on whether these other models will match the off road performance of the Landy or am I best off getting a Disco myself? :ph34r:

Hi all, Anyone know where to get a cheap holiday? Have probably tried most of them but just in case LOL! :D

I used to get around 54mpg in my vec oil burner but that's dropped down to about 30mpg now. The only things I've done are clean the turbo sensor and put a can of 10k through it. The engine is running fine and it boosts as it should but the mpg is crap. At first I thought it was the DPF but it should have recharged by now. Oh, and I'm not being heavy on the right foot either. Anyone have any ideas as whats going on?
