I found a site in the US called Z1 Motorsports that sells the Strosek-style kit that featured on a thread here a few weeks ago - a blue nose without any provision for indicators that would get broken off on the first speed hump. I rang them to ask about it and they told me it was a kit produced by a company called V12 in the States - $3000 for the complete kit and $1000 just for the nose !! - but also that it was available from Paul Bailey in the UK. Does anyone know if he's still involved in kits and stuff for the Z ? I also looked at the Strosek site. There was a great looking Z on there in Graphite but no prices - anyone have any info ? Cheers …

Nitrous' Biggest Advantage Apart from the huge power increases available, the most major advantage that a nitrous system provides is that it is there at the flick of a switch. When the system is not armed, the car will drive as it did before the system was fitted. No lumpy idle, harsh fuel consuption or running hot. No need to run high octane fuel or additives. This makes it the perfect method of tuning for cars used daily, or those with engines that don't respond well to alternative forms of tuning, the Si 16v's 1600 Zetec being a prime example. As most nitrous systems with a mild to medium power increase require no internal engine work, they can easily be tr…

I went to a few dealers when I was looking for my z. There were a lot of dodgey, small, back street blokes, but the company I finally bought from seemed really professional. I was very impressed with how they treated me and the state of their cars. Anyone had good/bad experiences with importers? I have only good things to say about the guys who sold me mine

Well that worked out very nicely! Have sold my Zed, but the happy purchaser turns out to be my flatmate! He's just sold his Cerbera and has been driving my Zed for a bit and realised what a great car it is! All I need to do now is persuade him to fork out for all those mods i'd love to do to it.... I reckon a few grand thrown in PPS's direction would be a good starting point... Have also got my new car too. :D Picked it up last Tuesday but had it parked up since then as it's going in to get a straight through exhaust stuck on it this week. At the moment it's FAR TOO QUIET! I reckon it should sound great with the new pipes... because after all.. it is a…

On my way home from mascrat manor last night and a brand spanker M3 came flying up me arse :D slowed down to have a look then booted it so it would have been simply rude not to completly blow him away. I'm starting to love that look on their faces when they have spent 40-50k on a fast!! car only to be blown away by Zed. I luv it :D Kirbz

Had a few hours to kill this afternoon so thought I would put Vijays boost leak detector to the test that I bought 4 weeks ago. The only problem I had was the very short hose on the foot pump so had to put it on a small step ladder as no box was available, anyway took off the oil filler cap and pumped away and could not build any pressure at all, so put the cap back on and four pumps later had built up suitable pressure to find FOUR  boost leaks (including one split pipe at the back of the balance bar). Fixed 3 of the 4 as the last one seems to be coming from underneath the plenham somewhere. Had to adjust the boost controller down quite a bit as its …

Does anyone know a fitter/supplier in the Midlands who knows zeds and can fit a stereo and/or change the speakers? I don't want to do ANYTHING to the standard enclosures, but i DO want new speakers and head unit. Thick question- are boot changers all a standard size? I mean, can I take out the factory changer and just stick in a new one? Also, how do you remove the changer control located in the central console in the little box-thingy? Or can I just leave that, or even will it still control a new changer? Rich

What do you guys think? My computer is still doing that stop go thing where my computer would stop responding for a few seconds and then carry on, but its not as bad as it was. A few viruses where found on my computer and where cleaned or deleted but since then I have formatted (low level too) my discs and installed Windows about 5 times and every time the same thing happens, even on the first boot up after a fresh installation. I have also taken out all non-essential components such as network cards, Zip Drive, Floppy and one of the CD drives and I still get the pausing problem. I have swapped my memory too and it still does it. I have also tried…
