One summer evening during a violent thunderstorm a mother was tucking her small boy into bed. She was about to turn off the light when he asked with a tremor in his voice, ''Mummy, will you sleep with me tonight?'' His mother smiled and gave him a reassuring hug. ''I can't dear,'' she said. ''I have to sleep in daddy's room.'' A long silence was broken at last by his little voice. ''The big sissy.''

For all you guys and girls without TC, please be carefull !!! Taking it sedately back from a mate's tonight, the turning I wanted off a round-about was closed so accelated a bit to get round, did the same thing on the other side when the road opened up (doing about 25mph in second) gently accelarated and found my arse abound 30 degrees out   Thankfully no cars alongside so I gathered her up again without drama. Worst thing is that I then had 30mins worth of argument with Louise about my immature driving whilst in car and she is still seriously pissed off   :( Time to get TC me thinks

Whilst in workshop yesterday local Nissan dealership called me to ask how long it took to change the centre propshaft bearing on a 300 as they needed to quote a customer?? seemed weird at first that they called me as they are the dealer but kind of made sense as they rarely deal with 300`s, but later I realised I had quoted a local zed owner myself last week and assumingly he was checking at the dealer. May see next week who gets the job? oooh can`t wait:D Jeff @Zedworld

Apparently a king size waterbed holds enough water to fill a 2000 sq. foot house 4 inches deep

I live just off 09L/27R (north runway) at Heathrow and so most mornings, when I'm working at home, get a small lump in the throat as 4 Rolls Royce Olympus engines on full afterburner kick out a grand total of 152,000* lbs of thrust tearing the sky apart and launching 203ft 9ins of pure white beauty into flight. And I just heard the last ever passenger flight from LHR take off to Edinburgh. B*stards. If any of you out there have got an outstanding order with Airbus Industrie, please cancel it in protest. No longer can anyone simply buy a ticket to fly supersonic. An experience now lost to us mere civilians. An ending to one of the UK's finest technical …

Just wondering - I took out NCB protection on my policy, and on the insurance document it lists how many "lives" the protection has remaining. Does this mean that if I make a claim, they won't jack up the premium until I run out of lives? Or is it just that I get to keep my NCB years? (oh and a thankyou to those who followed up on my 'injured car' thread - I haven't been able to visit the board for a few weeks and so didn't get to answer at the time :) )

As some of you may know i'm buying Keith s's Zed. The trouble is i've not had an insurance quote that i'm that impressed by. Can anybody reccomend any companies. It will be insured as a classic car and as a second car. I've tried Firebond, Lancaster and Adrian flux of which flux was the cheapest. My problem is that i was banned in 2001 for peeing around on a motorbike, and also have a SP30, which is'nt the prob. I understand the car is of a high group, but don't get me wrong when i say this, my Ducati 996SPS (RIP) group 17 of 17 cost me £570 Fully comp and would pee all over the nissan (stock tt, before i get lots of nasty replies). Im 29 years old, own my …

Never one to miss a chance, so when I had a call from a company who are looking at moving into the 'club' section of car enthusiasts I thought I'd tell them about our club etc..... I will be getting a call between 9am and 9:30am tomorrow from the guy at the warranty company. Can you leave you name if you are interested in having a good solid warranty on your Z and I'll quote the numbers to him and hopefully we'll get a club discount. I'll get all information, i.e. whats covered, what's not, claim limits etc, etc.... More details tomorrow! Cheers, Matty.

just been reading the thread below on insurance and it reminded me of when i was phoning round for quotes on my first car. i was 17 and had just passed my test and bought myself a d reg 1.3 astra for about £500. i phoned a company that had a full back-page advert in some crap car magazine that 17yr olds buy which was caliming to be the performance vauxhall specialists, catering for young drivers, modified cars, convictions and bans - you name it, they will do it. nice one, i thought, should be able to sort me out. after i had given my details etc etc the guy at the other end said to me "sorry mate, there's no way we'd ever touch anyone your age on A CAR THAT POWERFUL…

Well I just put up post number 555 and (anorakky bit alert!) noticed that I am now the 60th top poster (or verbose bullsh*tter!) on the site. So I started wondering if everyone above me had been registered on the site for a lot longer than me, or if there arte people out there who spend all day posting to the forum. I gues there's a way of calculating the average number of posts per month to see who's got it worst - I'm not sure how the posts per day business is calculated on the profiles. But hey PETE SHRIMP! You must be right up there! - I bet you don't get out much matey!
