Went down today and took 1 or 2 pics. There not very clear as it got quite dark and my phone has shit resolution. Some of the stuff like my rear bumper has come off. We got the front bumper done but alot more work has to go into it. From the pics you can make out how deep and big the front mouths are for the rad and intercoolers. Just want to say a BIG-UP thanks to stuart (smw1) for making me crap myself as he scared me shitless while doing a 180 degree spin to do a u turn with the back spinning out in the wet i thought "This is fu*kin wicked". I have got to say after being driven in Stu's car i want 2 up the boost 2. ITS ****IN ADDICTIVE. Also gotta say …

For my sins I use BT Openworld for my email (but not my ISP - it's a long story) and until just recently they used to provide SMS alerts for each email I received. For this very handy service they charged me £2.50 per month, but it was well worth it. Now due to the BT/Yahoo get together that service has been retired and they want to charge me on a per message basis at 10p per shot. No way and I going to pay that, especially as their new spam filtering seems so ineffective and it's likely to cost me about a £2 a day ! So does any one know of a similar service at a resonable cost ? It seems that O2 have quietly retired their free SMS service as well ....

Prompted by Pete's Rigid Body (ooh eck, that doesnt read well!!!) I was wondering what the description that other folk have on their V5. Will probably need a friendly mod (if there are any!!;) ) to edit the poll as all the descriptions become apparent!

Hi all I've been lurking around here for a while without really posting anything. I was thinking about selling my Zed at the start of the year.....but saw sense and decided to keep it. Well, what could possibly replace it for the money? Anyway, she's now got a nice new Momo steering wheel and a Mongoose stainless exhaust...so she now sounds as good as she goes. Well, I'll try to post a bit more often and maybe turn up to some meets (I'm near Camberley in Surrey). Happy Zedding boys and girls.

Iv also decided to go ahead with lambo doors. Should be something different (but depends on if the guy is willing to do it though so might not happen if he decides he cant do it)

Right Chris and Stu have organised a trackday for early next year and the response has been...for want of a better word "moribund" Come on lads and lasses - this is a great chance to test your car out on the track and have a brilliant meet at the same time...I dont care if its "not running perfectly" etc  - I've NEVER done it before and will be purely learning, but what a great day it will be! PM or email Chris@Get GReddy or SRRAE and put your name down for this top day, newbies and regulers - theres space left. If you've got a decent excuse, write it here, if not email or PM Chris or Stu and get on the list:cool: ;) Cheers Pete

Spent a few hours on Monday trying a few things out, and myself and a friend raided his dads work shop and polished a couple of coil pack brackets.

I'm after a Qube2 restore CD, does anyone have one that they could make a copy of for me? It should be something like this: Please email me on tim@red-zed.com if you can help. Or can anyone tell me why the web sharing is being erratic? It seems to work with one machine accesing the net, but no others, even though they can see it and access their User Pages, its a Mac N/W running an ISDN Card in the Qube for net access. Oh, btw, it's the first time I've tried to set this up but to the best of my knowledge it was working fine before I aquired it. Thanks Tim

With the recent rivalry on here from GTO and Rover lot I thought I would mention an old episode of Top Gear where this was put to the test. Anyone remember it? Basically to see which had safest handling Tiff & co placed stuffed animals on a blind bend of a track, then drove round the bend at high speed (60mph - A road speed) so the driver would see them at the last minute and have to brake/steer round them without hitting anything or losing control of the car. Cars chosen RWD= BMW 323i FWD=Alfa 156 2.5V6 4WD=Audi A4 2.6 (I think, can't remember exactly) And the safest, most predictable was........... .......…
