General Discussions - Non 300ZX

I am spraying some of the engine covers before they go back on. What colour should I go for? The car will be a dark purple. I was thinking red but Im not sure it will go well with purple. I was going to use a colour I was going to use for the car. Its a dark blue pearl but its dark and there wont be much light in the engine bay to show the colour. What any suggestions on colours?

did this on me 200 and so decided to try on me z too, did it today.worked real well. grinding down to 5p's pushing in sitting tight in the rubber seal, then filling, sanding and spraying, looks mint. God save the queen, thats the second car I have actually upped the value by 10p lol and value vs value ratio the only one I will prolly get all value back i spent on it, So if you see a Z for sale in the future for something like 6000.05 u know its mine lmao. me

I got my car back from PPS on friday afternoon with a lovely new '99 spec front end. Peter and the lads have made the front end shine like glass!! I 110% recommend anyone to go there for bodywork! You will not be disapointed.... THANKS VERY MUCH GUYS!!! :hyper:

Had my car On the RR today. with all the mods you can see in my sig it got 340bhp and 280 lb of torque. Is this pretty good? Is there owt else I can do (cheaply) to bump up the bhp now. Im running 1mm boost jets and boost seemed to peak at 13 yet on the road the boost meter reads 14.5. Something down to loading I was told. If I fit my boost controller I presume that would give me a little extra.

Just read the article in Japanese Performance about this track/driving tuition, and this is what I think I would need. Seems like a good approach and would let me enjoy the car and have confidence in it and maybe a bit more in my ability. Seems like it would be a good balance between learning how to use the car in general and drivng on a track. Wonder how much it costs. No mention on the website... probably means it's expensive- but worth it if it's good.

Hi all I took my zed out this afternoon for a blast up a rather empty A41 (sorry, private test track ;) ). On a nice clear straight, not a car in site for miles, I took it up to the limiter :x: . Car felt fine, so I let it run at 145-150 for the next few (rather blurred) miles. Since then it seem to be running even better. I drove home via the country lanes and burnt some more Optimax, it felt smoother and more responsive and the autobox seems to be more in tune with my right foot. It changes more seamlessly now too. :bow: Anyone else noticed this? :D Richard :smw:

Took my car in yesterday to be worked on by 'he who shall not be named' at 'the place we can't mention' and my prop shaft bearing vibrations have gone completely!!! :D Am a very happy bunny and the Z is like a new car now!! Dropped car off, went shopping with my better half in Tamworth (Ventura Park) brought too much, had some food.......went back to 'the place we can't mention' and all was ready for me to drive home. Plus I picked up my 99 spec rears and a new battery!! Top :dance: Matty.
