Why do the charge some regions more than others. Is it purely down to the population in those regions?

Sorry to vent some frustration, but I have to get this off my chest because the wife couldn't give a crap (actually I think she's laughing inwardly). A while ago some tit ran into the back corner and drove off meaning I had to have it resprayed for £500. I know there are loads of people who have been in a MUCH worse situation than that, but TITS in SHIT LITTLE ESCORTS should WATCH WHERE THEY ARE GOING. I was coming off a roundabout tonight and SOME IDIOT clipped the back end on the NEWLY REPAINTED BUMPER. Ok, it's not done much, but it's cracked the new sodding paint and pushed the bumper out of shape. I'm beginning to think the car is invisible. Oh well, back t…

2 cars of identical overall mass are in a race on a straight track. Car A has 10% of it's mass in the body and 90% of it's mass in the wheels (hypothetically) Car B has 90% of it's mass in the body and 10% of it's mass in the wheels (hypothetically) Which car will win assuming they both have the same power and are driven identically etc. ? I think car B would win (but am not certain).

Another year's run out and it's insurance time again. Now, I /hate/ ringing round for a decent quote! "Quote me happy"?! Faahck off! Anyone here can probably appreciate, you usually get some poor girl on the end of the phone following a pre-defined list of instructions. 10 minutes into the list is the: "do you have any modifications to your vehicle?" question. Oh dear. Yes... I've got sh*t-loads of mods! Then if they'll even insure a mod'd car, you have to sit there for ages explaining what all those mods are to someone who knows nothing /at all/ about cars. "Hold on, I'll need to ask someone about this". That sound familiar?! If they come up with a decent quote, there's …

nothing to do with the Z but it was on the radio about these "manufacturing plants" buying up red diesel and washing the dye out with a chemical. never thought about this before but does this mean we could be buying it through our pumps? and what chemical do they use? can it damage your engine? im a bit worried because my mate filled up at a local garage for about 6 months and had a loss of power (down from sewing machine to hairdryer) and high wear on his TDi golf engine. anyone else had this? never thought it could be the diesel till i heard that. :nono:

Does anyone use the The Online Nissan 300ZX (Z32) Service manual ? The reason I ask, is that it is not searchable, and I've started an Index page to help find topics easier... I've only indexed section FE (Engine control, Fuel & Exhaust System), and I don't want to do the remaining 1300+ pages unless it is worth it: Index page

For all those thinking of getting a new phone or simply upgrading can I recommend the new sharp GX30 Mint bit of kit. Plays MP3s has a 1 Megapixel camera, Torch, etc Only downside I can find is infrared and blueetooth seem to be limited to a headset and pc only - so no phone to phone functions unless you send via mms or summit. Look at the attached photo - this was done on it!!!! Well chuffed

Well, here goes in for a penny in for a pound, Picking up my First Z from Arthur on Saturday, had a test drive and a look see over under and around. What a fantastic car, reminds me of the first time I drove my 200, wide grin that did not go away, I always wanted a zed, and now my 200 has alas died of chassis corrosion it has given me the chance to get me a 300, I can also recomend Houghton Insurance for the lowest quote, at just below 600 quid fully comp, about 50 quid more than my 200, marvellous. Sorry to relieve Arthur of his beloved car  , but I promise Ill look after it. :) Arthur by the way is a decent chap who makes a good cuppa, and Ill hold …

On the business park we have one of our offices, there is a limo hire company, the owner of which has a purple poopra. He is a middle aged guy who told me that he would kick my "saggy rear" when he got his new poopra about six months back. Met this joker on the A41 outside Newport yesterday. Despite struggling with rear end traction I pulled past him at around 110mph with (shocking) ease. Today, he had a local auto tuner round to look at his car. Says he had problems with his fuelling.....hmmmm maybe. Or maybe your purple poopra with its ridiculous drainpipe exhaust just aint no match for a Zed in a pissy mood. He wants to meet me at Santa Pod. Says he wi…

Picked up a plenum a little over a month ago with the idea that I'd have a crack at polishing it up before putting it on the car when my 555 injectors arrive and....it's finally finished! Had it bead blasted internally by a mate for the price of a :duffer: first. He did the exterior as well so I could see what it looked like but although it brought it up nicely it still retained some of the "rough cast" finish so decided to break out the angle grinder, soon followed by the ever handy dremel, some wet and dry and finally a buffer! I left off doing the bottom as it's not going to be seen, the inside edges and the very centre were a complete PITA to get at but they're not…

Hi Jaffa & James300, Was doing your brake brace bracket invoices last night and got a little confused about the name on your paypal payments ... they both appear to be the same - James Morgan. I know that everything I do at 2am seems confusing but this puzzled me for a good 5 minutes. Is this indeed the case or did one of you make payment for the other ... Please let me know because my one remaining brain cell is going into shock. And just incase you're wondering, your brackets will be on their way tomorrow morning (regardless of your names ... ;)) so you'll hopefully have them by Friday noon time (remember it's going via recorded delivery so you'll need to …
