I went on a bike awareness day today organised by the local police, started at 7 am, pissing with rain and looking well moody. By the time the classroom stuff had been done, 9am, sun splitting the trees, out on my Firestorm with a bike cop following me for 6 hours giving it the absolute berries, had to fill up twice while I was out, what a blinding day. The "rules of engagement" were that 30/40/50 limits had to be observed (which I tend to do anyway, Honestly ;)) but the rest of the day it was more "playful" took me a bit of time to trust in the fact that it wasnt a setup and the guy wasnt going to nick me, and the look on some motorists faces, me blasting by on an open p…

heres a question. My car at thor produced 294 rear hub/ 350 flywheel bhp @ 15.3 psi. At that point she was overfuelling, had a crap chip, a hole in the exhaust, was burning shedloads of oil, and detting like a pig After a bit of fiddling, all the above is sorted and she is now pushing 19 psi, so to pre-empt the rolling road, what sort of HP am I looking at? any views?

I am really impressed by the dedication and care from traders i've dealt with on this forum today and over last couple of weeks/months Danny at DTA Andy Z Smithy Mike Feeny MJPAuto They have all dealt with my queries,(even though i didn't quite know what i actually wanted) without being patronising, all their customer service has been excellent and getting the parts to me at short notice was no problem They all go out of their way to help! bloody fantastic All of you know the hassles i've had  and I can tell you i've nearly given up trying to get my zed back on the road Special mention to Mac 1 if it wasn't for you, i'd be probably…

I am after some info from one of you kind souls about some Monroe shockers. If you work in a motor factors type accesory shop and have a monroe catalogue to hand could you look up part numbers MON R3789 and MON 11601. They are front and rear shockers for a 92 Rover 827. I need to establish what product range they are from and am struggling to get to my normal shop. Reason is, I fitted some shockers less than 2 years ago to my everyday wokhorse Rover and the rears have started leaking. Looked on the monroe website and for certain ranges they have a lifetime warranty, so am trying to see if I qualify. Bit of a tall order I know but you never know............ …

Had my new 3G brakes fitted to my ZX on Monday - dead good, much better than stock. A worthwhile upgrade at only £220 delivered (plus labour to fit, coz I'm lazy  ) I took the Corsa to work today and almost crashed at least 4 times, coz I'd got used to the improved Zed brakes and was braking too late....... Richard :)
