Its been a long time coming, but the zed is going for sale :( I don't know realistically what to ask for it, what do you guys reckon? '91 Import TT Auto 2+2 Pearl white 64k miles leather it has jasma backboxes on, but they are finished, the stock ones will be provided though. it needs the following tax MOT - these can be arranged though cambelt (and other 60k stuff, recent new plugs & K&N air filters though) aircon compressor is knackered - works well but makes a dreadful noise theres some deep scratches on the drivers door along with a dent I think thats about it So what do you think. Cheers Clarkey

Picked up this copy of an original Zed ad- enjoy Ad reads: All those who thought Nissan could never make a car like the 300ZX, order your humble pie now. Its 3.0 litre DOHC 24-valve V6 278bhp engine takes it from 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. Twin turbos with variable valve timing give instant and smooth response. Super HICAS 4 wheel steering and viscous LSD give incredible control and traction. Even the ignition key is high technolgy. (Its made from titanium alloy). With some sports cars you are forced to sacrifice confort for performence. Not with the 300ZX. You'll find electrically adjustable seats, CD player, Leather upholstry, automatic air-conditioning and cr…

Right. A bit of advice please. I use a hire car each week for travelling between Newcastle and Blackpool. On 16th April I was back in Newcastle, travelling up a short single carriageway road which has shops and a lane for parking down one side. As I was driving up the road on the same side of shops, a woman walked out between 2 cars and started to walk alongside the cars towards me. She seemed quite far out so I moved over towards the middle of the road. As I was passing her, she had reached her car and turned to open it. Her bag (on her shoulder) clipped the wing mirror which made a "crack" and bent in. I thought if it is broken, she is going to h…

My Zed has let me down for the first time in 13 months......(13... ) Had to wait for the AA and the car is now in Z3dworld. General idea is that it's the fuel pump, fuel pump relay or something pump/fuel related as the fuel is not moving through the system!! :( (accourding to the AA guy, also I thought this myself.....mind you it's not rocket science, no fuel, no go!) I was travelling along and the Z just died on a very busy road with no where to get off so I had to drop the Z on a grass verge (shout at the Z a few times) and call the AA....first guy comes out lifts the bonnet and says "I'm not messing with this" and I asked him to send a flat bed...... …

Hi guys, Cannot get hold of Jeff as his 'phone just rings. Does anyone know which garage he uses for MOTs. My insurance company has lost mine, and time is ticking to get my tax before the "non refundable" fine comes in. I desperately need to get a duplicate. Many thanks, Simon.

I'm visiting a mate on saturday who lives in a dodgy bit of Nottingham. I'm not sure whether to take the Z or the Mrs Polo. It seems kinda silly to have this great car, pay to insure it etc, then leave it at home. I had a face-off stereo fitted recently as I don't want anyone smashing the door and dash to get the sound system. I love my Z, it's very clean and standard and I want it to stay that way. Have a lot of people had their cars broken into or stolen? Are they thief magnets? I mean, it's worth less than a medium spec BM coupe of the same age but is it more attractive to thieves? Or will they leave it alone as they don't know what to do with …

just been reading a few post here and there about insurance quotes etc and co's who say yes to some and no to others...i did a bit of phoning around and found a few odd practices going on...i have been quoted for fully comp by several co's of which 2 blatently didnt put the car down as an import even when i told them in clear english...when picking up on this from the quotes supplied they withdrew the cover...i am in no doubt that they are conning some drivers who pay for policies which are worthless in the event of a crunch...because it is down to you to tell them of any changes to the schedule they print and send to you...and to add my bit about norwich union direct and…

posted up on the JAE website not sure if it has been posted here QUOTE i found this on anothe r forum, is it true, considering lots of cars at JAE are already modfied from japan. Quote: Hi Everyone, As we always like to keep everyone up to date with any changes that may affect skylines and performance car owners, the following news is just about as bad as it can get. We have just found out through the back door today about new rule changes for all vehicles under 10 years old, skylines included, that will seriously affect anyone trade or individual importing any sports vehicle of any make that has even the slightest after market modification, add on…

off on a bit of a trip this weekend. Whitley Bay to London today then off to Wiltshire on Saturday then back up North on Monday. Every bit of common sense says take the reliable, economical daily driver especially as the weather forecast isn't so great. but on the other hand, the zeds just been serviced, running really well (I just know I'm going to regret saying that!), got new tyres, got working air-con, just been washed... I cant decide, need a second (and obviously unbiased) opinion. What do you guys think?
