From Wed 29th June roadworks will commence on M1 between J20 and J21. Lower-noise surfacing begins on Fri 8th July. Will take 20 weeks :eek: Advance work will start Wed 29th but will not affect road users. Traffic management starts on Fri 8th July and involves 24-hour work with 3 lanes of traffic open in both directions using narrow lanes and contra-flows. A 24-hour 40MPH speed limit will be in operation. SPECS cameras will monitor average speeds along this route and anyone exceeding an average of 40 will be liable to prosecution. Over and out.

Bah, I got a summons for speeding back in Feb (why do they always wait *right* until the 6months is nearly up, eh? Cruel!), so I'm after a decent solicitor for advice/mitigation letter - the offence was down in Nottingham, and I live in Warrington now, so it seems better to let them sort this out in my absence than waste fuel and time going down there to mess it up in person. I was just thinking of how far some members have got to travel to get there. Amazing dedication in the name of fun. I basically live just down the road about 40 miles..... And I think the furthest traveller should get some kind of prize? I know this is similar to Karls poll but is more directed at travelling and not location.

A question for the scots members really, I was wondering what this road is like, is it a fast road? loads of traffic slowing you down? what would you say your ave speed would be along this road if driving normally? I'm asking because i'll be taking the Z up there for christmas this year and i'm trying to work out how long it will take. I had a great run tonight. Sun was out and it was warm "Strange for Scotland so you need to take advantage" Targa's off 25mile blast country road "Used it to work twice a day for 10 years so know it quite well" Short straits 2nd gear passing one car at a time and making a space to pull in :) Longer pass the lot "Driving it like a bike" 100mph with the windows down and it's not a problem.. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST DRIVERS CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED.. :dance:

Just had a call from Chunk he is at the showground now and he said to let you all know there is lots of speed cameras in the area,so keep your eyes peeled!

Received a phone call earlier, to tell me that my Zed is ready to pick up. I work in Peterborough (near where JAE is being held). I understand police have closed part of the city centre - not kown why but we can guess!. I don't think it's anything to worry about and it's a good distance from JAE which is west of the city so if you're going to JAE, please don't worry.
