Who's been driving there Z out in the snow today???! I drove to work this morning and it was cold but no snow, drove home from work and we'd had about 3 inches and they hadn't even gritted the main roads FFS!! :headvswal The Z was quiet composed though, had to be gently bently on the throttle with wide 265's on the back else it would just spin, even taking off in 2nd gear.... Every time i stopped though it was a bitch to get moving again, all that low down grunt would make me just spin on the spot.. Had to abandon the Z on a very step hill due to slow moving traffic, bet sum coont goes into it tonight now... :(

2 questions! :D 1. If you had to make a replica car out of a Zed. What car do you think you could make out of it? 2. What other car would you use to make a replica of a Zed? All blasphemy of course but good for a giggle. Not too much though or we know what will happen :x:

So it seems I can afford the insurance on one. So, I am selling my car for £4000. What sort of 300zx will that give me. I've noticed that a lot of the UK spec ones are quite high millage, but being a V6 the revs arnt high so engine wear shouldnt be too bad?? Jap imports tend to have a lot less miles but insurance will go up by 200-300 pounds. Would it be better to go jap with lower miles and higher insurnace or just go fot the UK spec. What do you guys recon??? :hyper:

With the dirty roads my car needs washing loads. A new fancy car wash has opened just near me which included 'underbody spray with rust inhibiter' or something like that. I'd like to use it cos a) it's easy and b) I like the idea of the underneath being cleaned / rust inhibited. I know the common wisdom is that a car wash can damage your car but has anyone ever seen a car that actuially has been damaged by one? Are we talking proper damage or slight swirls in the paint that polish out? I used to put my S13 200SX through one for years and the paint still looked gorgeous when I sold it. Could modern car washes be ok to use? What do you think?

I've heard a bit about these new DVD clubs. You pay a monthy or annual fee and they have a huge collection of DVDs they post you (one or more at atime) and you return by post. I might join one. Can anyone recommend one or have any experience of them? Cheers!

At the last Committee meeting we discussed the issue of “Drivel posts and Nonsense polls” on the Club’s forums and what to do about them. There has been an upsurge in the volume of these types of posts which have had the effect of cluttering up the forums and making it frustrating for our members to use the forums. Members have also complained about the standard of postings both in their content and in their style. The majority of these postings appear to come from the “younger” elements of the Club or simply people who don’t own Zs. The Committee felt that these posts and polls are damaging the profile and spirit of the Club to both subscribed members and that of potenti…

OK Dudes... I need your help! The Z-Tech engine rebuild is complete... The CTS Gearbox rebuild is done.... I'm almost set (after having nearly 1yr off the road) having replaced almost everything mechanical or electrical on my car... And the only thing stopping me is....? My insurace company still can't fit me a blue tint passenger side window. Why? Because the can't open the damn door! some glass must have fallen into the mechanism somehow because it all worked fine before. This is all I need to be back on the scene! Can someone help me by supplying and fitting a blue passenger side window, and help me open my door? Getting my TT back is the onl…

Gareth, RE: your request for rear wheel nuts, please do not take it lightly that two are just " missing" there is evidence that wheel stud failure is increasing especially on the UK spec cars, an early indicator is wheel nuts coming off or going "missing" as the stud stretches, I would urge you to have the wheel studs inspected and to be honest just replace them, they are not dear and the alternative if not worth it. I personally have seen at least 10 x UK spec zeds loose wheel nuts without any apparent reason, even if the nuts are replaced there is still the potential for repeat failure. Nissan have recognised this fact or at least their parts network has a…
