Well here I am, a proud new owner of a 1998 300ZX 2+2 TT. Bought as a impulse buy after I grew tired of my Rover 200. Already the envy of my friends and the scourge of gravel car parks, I believe the philosopy of asking the prettiest girl in the room to dance first because "you never know!" rang true for me when I walked onto the garage forecourt and asked for a test drive. Without further adu, I present to you my most favourite new toy, and future money-sink. ~Rimmon

The car is a 1991 UK spec 300ZX 3.0L V6,Twin Turbo, 2+2 with Targa roof on a Auto box (remapped ECU also and some other modifications) The car has complete service history from 1991 when first brought to the UK. The car has just had an engine change prior to purchase and is running very well. Handling is second to none and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Here are the pics of this quality car! http://s533.photobucket.com/albums/ee332/phantom2080/New%20Car/

...guess I'm a newbie. Just got myself a '94 UK model manual Targa Twin Turbo... 60k, one owner, full history etc, and feeling pretty damn good about it... the car is simply magic (completely beasted the 2000 mile round trip the the S of France in the summer just after I got it). Had to get a few things done in the last couple of months - cambelt, AC belt, 4 new tyres and a clutch. Already knew that these cars cost money to maintain though! I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to garages to use in/around SE London? I am using D2 in Strood currently, and they are extremely good - though not massively convenient for me to get to. Also,…

Hi peeps very nice forum I like it and hopefully will be on here a lot more, as I've already posted in the Z General Discusson section I was going to see a Mitsy GTO tomorrow but for some strange and bizarre twist in my fate I've stumbled upon the idea of buying a Z instead! woohooo. Still in dilemma but it's veering towards the 300zx so hopefully I'll be able to find a non-turbo manual very soon. Anyway bless to all and heres to many more blessings to come!

Hi there, I thought that I'd register with the 'site, as I'm talking myself into buying my first 300Zx. I'm a mature driver and want to own one of these beasts before I become too old and decrepit  I've driven various Nissans over the past sixteen years, Primeras, Almeras, a QX and very briefly a 200Zx. I work in the Motor Trade and have spent at least twelve years dealing with Nissans. Anyway - the idea is to buy a 300Zx, turbo model, automatic, leather interior with all the toys. Hopefully you'll be able to advise me and maybe point me in the right direction in the near future. I look forward to the experience. Regards - Andy

hi, im thinking about getting myself a 300zx as a everyday car and was just after some information about them. as my dayly drive to work is all motorway what type of mpg can i see from the auto non turbo? im not worryed about fuel when i put my foot down but as i will mostly be doing motorway miles i wont be seeing much speed over 70. also for good mpg am i better off going for the auto? there seems to be more for sale than the manal, i did read that the ealy autos are naff, again as i wont be driving hard should i worry about this? can i pick up a ok model for under £1000? i understand i wont get a great condtion one for that type of money but like everyon…

Hi All I'm John. I don't have a Z yet, I expect to buy my first one sometime around my birthday in March next year. Too much paying out until after Chrismas. I went to RAF Marham yesterday for a track day but was disappointed not to see any 300's. Still had fun though, my friend has a GTO twin-turbo and I gave it a few good runs around the runways. Certainly plan to be in a Z next time! Look forward to joining in the conversations on here. Cheers John
