Out of curiosity, which is better ?
  8. Thanks Smithy.... Yes, just got the car back from the garage with a new chip fitted ! Oh no !
  9. Any ideas where to buy one of these and what to pay ? Thanks !
  10. I'd rather buy them brand new to be honest as at present going through extreme bad luck and really can't afford to take anymore risks. I have already spent £4000 on mods in the last 3 months.
  11. Any recommendation on where to buy the above and how much one is expected to pay for them. Many Thanks.
  12. Thanks Steve, very grateful, I will try this and let you all know... Vijay is due to visit me and the missus soon with the Consult as well....so thanks Vijay ! Also many thanks to the others who have also posted.... Drinks to everyone in our next meet !
  13. I have reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for 30 mins. The car when started was running rough but with engine check light off. Then within a few minutes it went back to dodgy mode with smell of petrol, revs high, engine check light on, fan on ! What a disaster ! HELP HELP HELP !!!!
  14. ok, I will do this now
  15. Thats right. Thats why I am confused because the cars engine check light is still on (limp mode) but the diagnostic saying no malfunction.
  16. I have just done this a bit earlier from the previous advice given. Nothing is showing up in the diagnostics. Followed instructions meticulously. Totally lost.
  17. Extremely grateful Vijay. PM sent.
  18. I had this very alarm on my Supra. It was nothing but grief. When it went pear shapped I took it out to see if I can tinker with it and the whole unit is solidly sealed. If I were you, I would get rid of it and install another like Clifford/Toad if you are able to. HTH
  19. I'm in Enfield Vijay, near Ponders End.
  20. Ok... This is getting to technical for me bud... I mean, how serious is this and do I breakdown emotionally now and have a good cry ? So what do I do ?
  21. Yup, checked underneath the throttle cover as well. The car is running and idling high. I can hear the fan on always. The smell of petrol is unbearable. Any idea why the engine check light would be on ?
  22. Checked the fuel lines and couldn't see any obvious leaks.
