This is my 300zx. my brother found the video on youtube by chance and was showing me all the comments of people believing i was part of the scam! Was only broken down for 2 minutes! i hadnt rolled the car back from the junction as: A)there were already cars coming up the hill and would have caused a bit of confusion. B) i knew the car would get going again fairly quickly. I think the van panicked as someone wanted to turn into that lane and reversed without looking.

Thanks bud, there is a local company i can use to take a look at it. just wanted to weigh up the better option. I will go ahead to get it looked at and hopefully rebuilt, definitely would be a pain to buy another one to then have two dodgy boxes!

Hello The gearbox in my LWB 1990 manual tt has a constant whine and at high revs can make a slightly more troubling noise. so ive been told bearings on the lathe shaft however taking it apart could reveal more. i was wondering if its cost effective to have it refurbished, keeping in mind the extent of the damage is yet unknown and how easy is it to source parts at reasonable prices as its an old gearbox? alternatively try to purchase a second hand gearbox, if anyone has one laying around i'd be very interested in buying it. thanks, Matt

Hello, i just subscribed to the forum and was recommended to introduce myself here. I bought my 300ZX about 3 years ago now, i did join the forum at that time also. But then my engine became U/S, after sitting for a long time i finally got other priorities out the way and fitted a new engine. Now back on the road i am slowly but surely trying to rebuild my worn out ZX bit by bit with all the overtime im squeezing out at work!

My zed has been off thew road for over a year now, just managed to pick up an engine from Ebay which i have been working on since friday, still trying to solder the entire loom back together! But once it runs for a few months and proves itself i'll be taking it back off the road for a major refurbishment so this ties in perfect!
