  1. Hi all. Yes it was Mine. I still have the number plate. But the car is no more. I spun out in it and done some damage. Not too bad. Was going to fix but the recovery company put there forklift through it and done so much damage that it could not be repaired.
  2. Hi all. I have have a Vac leak for awhile and have not been able to pin point it. I have replaced lots of vac pipes and deleted stuff. I can hear a hiss from behind engine bay near the idle control valve. My main question is what would happen if I can this off at the balance bar and start the engine? Looking at eliminating these set of pipes this way. Cheers
  3. What wires are to cylinder 2? Red and white.. AND Blue and ???
  4. Misses on No. 2 with both PTU units
  5. Cant get cylinder 2 to fire.. Any suggestions? Tried 2 ptus. And changed plugs etc.. Checked wiring too..
  6. No worries mate. Could be my wiring lol.
  7. Sorted wiring. Soldered all wires. New (Used) Connectors fitted. Now the missfire on the Left 2nd cylinder is now good. HOWEVER. First cylinder on the right is now missing lol... Beginning to piss me off.. Will take off the PTU and clean all the connections to make sure they are all good in the morning..
  8. I am in the process or rewiring the ptu unit. The only problem is I have 4 black wires. 2 on the inner casing and 2 on the outer casing. How do I know which goes to which??

  10. Hello again all.. I have been having trouble with my PTU connections. However instead of trying to source new series 1 connectors im thunking of replacing the PTU with a series 2 and hard wiring the harness adapter... Where us the cheapest place to get a harness from? I called nissan UK and they say they dont do one... I have found one in america on z1 website but i am unsure if i would get hit with customs charges etc. Any help? TY

  13. Its not the ptu, its the connector that connects to it. But.. I can not find the old style connectors, only the new style so will have to replace with new ptu and wiring harness.
  14. are the series 2 ptu the same on the vg30dett and the vg30de???

  17. ok.. It is the ptu.. when I hold it in a certain direction it runs spot on.. cant get it to run without holding it so will have to get new connection block

  19. Hi all. I was at japshow at the weekend and the 300 was running great. I turned the engine off and went for a look around. I come back and start the car and its missing on one cylinder. I have located the cylinder and swapped plugs and coil packs over and it is still missing on the same cylinder. The spark plug is wet so im assuming the injector is ok. So all I have left is the wiring to the injector or a compression issue. (Really hoping its not a compression issue) Any ideas? any more I can do to check things? What sort of multimeter readings should I get off the wiring to the coil pack? I dont have a multimeter yet so if any other ways to test? Im really worried its gonna be a costly fix. (New engine etc) Cheers Mike
  20. Thats a great diagram. If I was to cap off the egr and the AIV vacuums at the solenoids that would eliminate all vacuum to the rear of the engine. This in turn should stop my leak. However will this course any problems with the car?
  21. Will doing the EGR and AIV delete solve this leak?
  22. Hi all, I have a Vacuum leak coming from the rear of the engine. What are the implications of just capping the vacuum pipes to the egr valve?
  23. So I have plugged that and the leak on the booster has stopped.. But there seems to be a hiss coming from the rear of the engine. What vacuum pipes are there at the rear?
