What did you do to your zed today?
Oh yes, and I also serviced my car today. Oil change with filter, the FSM says 3,4L of oil. I've put in 3,5L but still no oil on the dipstick. Anyone knows how much goes in it? I guess it's more? Mike

What did you do to your zed today?
I installed my subframe collars today. I have to say the difference is noticable.....especially when the Hicas is doing his thing

# 4 - what am I doing? Little build thread!
No, I didn't mean the lower mouldings, I meant the upper ones.....are they available as a spare part? Those are the one that make a joint between the rear window and the hatch. Mike By the way, the car is stunning Simon!!!

Simon, did you replace the rubbers from the rear quarter windows? I couldn't find these anywhere, think they are part of the window itself. Mike

DO you guys have to go to MOT even if it's registred as an oldtimer?

Z broken down - first time ever!
Relay could be faulty like ZNUT said, even if you hear it click.....i'd go for measuring first before buying parts.

Hicas light keeps coming on whilst on motorway
Nope, no error codes. Only went into alarm when warmed up going into fail-safe mode and putting the powersteering in hardest mode.

Hicas light keeps coming on whilst on motorway
I had the same problem, searching for months and ended up concluding that it went into alarm once the ecu warmed up and taking a longer time when cold outside. I now changed the Hicas ECU and no problem anymore....... except I feel the Hicas working now and not sure how it is supposed to feel. It's very strange, when turning the steering wheel from L to R on the highway I feel the back of the car moving. Or it is normal or the feeling is amplified by the worn subframe-bushes.

Gem Classic Cars
That Z32 comes from Italy, it was for sale for more then 8 months....for only 13000 euro. I wanted to go to Milan to have a look at it but the wife didn't want it. I so regret that I didn't went because I would have bought it.

Hicas light keeps coming on whilst on motorway
Yes indeed.....check the FSM for the procedure......to long to describe  Do you have the impression that it takes longer to go into alarm when it's colder outside?

Hicas light keeps coming on whilst on motorway
Does it give any error when put in self-test mode?

Nissan spare parts hertige program info
For some reason, I find it hard to believe. The production cost is too high and Nissan is no different than any other factory, they want to make profit and this will not be done with parts for old cars but by selling new products.

Hicas ECU
Hello, my Hicas problem rose again. Now, I will search and finally find the problem but....I was thinking about a solution that might suit several people. Is there anybody who knows how the Hicas and/or non-hicas PS-ECU deals with the different signals? I mean, both systems have parking-brake, brake, clutch, inibitor-switch, steering-angle, speed-sensor attached to it. I wonder why? Speedsensor I can understand but not the others. So, suppose I do delete the hicas-system as many others did, what do I do with the ecu? If I take it out I do loose the power-steering wich I don't want. Is there some sort of piggybag solution? Is there anybody who ever tried to make a circuit-bord that convert the pulses comming from the speed sensor into voltage that could be connected to the ps-valve? I mean, this could be the solution to take out the ps/hicas-ecu and still profit from the speed-variable power-steering. I worked in electronics for more then 15 years and have connection and people who could try to make some sort of piggybag for this but I have to know if it's worth it and if some sort of system doesn't already exists, I don't want to try to re-invent the wheel. For the language-specialists, english is not my native language and I don't have the ability to edit so sorry if there are mistakes in my tekst. I can do it in dutch of french, there will be less mistakes :clown: Mike
