  1. Am I right in thinking I cannot reuse the locking washers/collars that fit around the Japspeed front inner tie rods? Since there is now a 4-5mm spacer, the washer doesn't seem to collapse back over the new tie rods.. Do they become obselete? Thanks
  2. Please can anyone confirm the size of piping I need for the two hard pipes that supply fluid to the steering rack? I like to believe it's 3/16 but to me it seems bigger. Thanks
  3. Does any one have a spare hard pipe as above? Link See Part No. 49542 Got bit too aggressive removing tie rods, but managed to get them off! Thanks
  4. See Link https://flic.kr/s/aHskVvr2Zo for various items from an '89 TT Auto for sale. I wish to recover some funds and clear out my garage for a manual conversion! All parts are open to offers, try me. I would prefer collection on most of them, especially large or heavy items. Any questions just ask, or more pics on request. All items were working fine before removal.
  5. Sorry for the cheesy title! So I mentioned in my introduction last year, that I was moving house. It finally happened at the end of November, so I have been busy sorting out the garage...Screeding, building workbench, racking etc. I have decided to do a build thread so I can keep track of my work/reference, and also for anyone who may be interested. Since my introduction, I have done a decent amount of work and had a play around prior to moving such as common deletes, messing with boost, Conzult and various welding. Also took it in for an MOT for a giggle. Not too bad considering how long it's been stood. Somewhere along the lines it has had oversills welded in, so ripped them out and the inner reinforce sections. So since the move, the engine and gearbox is out. Will have the Auto box, Propshaft, Torque Converter, Flywheel, Exhaust and a few other bits up on the for sale page pretty soon. Fought to get the Flywheel and Torque Converter off. The reason for the Title is I don't actually know what patch the Z is going to take yet, possibly a hybrid of Track, Weekender, possibly Drag!
  6. Anyone got the above before I pay 40 quid from Nissan? Thanks
  7. Does anyone have these spare/in stock? Price for both sides, and delivered. Many thanks
  8. Yawn, CFM... I don't really want to get into the CFM pedantic. It's big, and it feels powerful. I have read countless threads on forums about CFM this and that..it's boring. It's an experiment if you will, I am going to install it and watch temps. It will be a damn sight better than what was on there I know that. I' not saying it is adequate but I can always upgrade if its shabby ;)
  9. I'm currently in the process of doing this; Where there are two separate temp switches, I will be using one switch with two temp settings so low speed triggered at lower temp etc. I have just bought a Jaguar V6 twin fan and having to mod the mounts and shroud..
  10. Thanks for the info. I'll stick with it in that case!
  11. Hi, I just took delivery of what I thought would be a QH water pump. I did my research and believed QH to be top quality. It turns out the pump that arrived is NPW. Can anyone reinforce or correct the below statement from the seller; 'No, it i is not a mistake the unit supplied is a QH boxed product. NPW manufacture the unit for QH. That is how they are supplied from QH. All the Japanese replacement units are supplied to us in that manner. We have sold just under 200 units this year for Japanese models and to date we have not had any returned as faulty. We have no control over who manufactures the units for QH we sell them as they are supplied to us as QH replacement product. If you wish to return the product please do so at your convenience.' Cheers chaps..
  12. I need the O/S timing belt cover piece, and the lower metal section please.
  13. Yeah totally agree it looks like the wire has been chopped, either from a dodgy connector, or replacement pressure sender.. Thanks for confirming lonezedder :)
  14. I'll hazard a guess it's an oil pressure sensor.
  15. Hi, I've been having a good look at my power steering issues on my recently acquired Z, and stumbled across the below. I have tried to research it but not found anything on this.. Can someone please tell me something about it? It's located just below the N/S engine mount. Thanks in advance
  16. Yeah its definitely a JDM, the rad has been out once. I think I will go on your advice with upgrading the engine cooler. At least I could leave it in situ and mount a better one at the front. Thanks!
  17. Thanks Stephen. Do you know where there is more information about the auto gearbox cooler you mention? I don't suppose I could even block the pipe from the auto box for now, is it essential?
  18. I am about to purchase an alloy rad for my auto (cracked at the top), but I will be doing a conversion at some point. Could someone please advise if I should get a manual rad or an auto? I was thinking get a manual and T piece the gearbox cooling pipe into oil cooler hose for now. Or do I get the auto and block off the extra outlet...
  19. Jeff, that's an awesome response. I will take it up with Eurocarparts. I did wonder why they had all the correct information, but seemingly wrong stat. Thanks Jeff, and all. I live and learn! You just don't compromise on quality, I know that. I have always bought either genuine or next best quality. To be honest, I didn't know Nissan did their own thermostat. Thanks again chaps
  20. Ordered a Nissan genuine £39 inc vat.. for real? That's an expensive thermostat :saddam:
  21. Well that goes without saying, and I am under the impression it is a new and correct part according to their site. I think I will fit it and keep my eye on the flow on the bottom hose
  22. Its 76c opening temp. Got it from eurocarparts and they had the engine code (VG30D) going off my number plate.
  23. Hi chaps, I've bought a replacement thermostat but it looks a little different in that it doesn't have the bottom bit. It's Manufacturer is Vernet; Will this be an issue? Thanks!
