your best bet is to buy a "barebones" system. They are cheap (around £300) and will last you years

I think i saw an article on this and the chap who did it had custom manifolds. I don't know if that was because of his choice of turbo or lack of bolt-on compatibility with the z32 block

on my desk i have 3 machines 1 vista X64 ultimate, 1 Xp pro XP2 X64, and solaris. And to be fair i quite like vista, more than xp, but then again iv'e fiddled with everything on it

i am the type of person to label every screw and arrange my spanners in size, so it will take me ages lol. my main aim is to be able to strip a z down to it's component pieces and rebuild it

Does anybody know of any good books for teaching yourself mechanical engineering basics. I'm looking for something not too heavy that covers all the basics in detail and isn't too "noddy". any help appreciated
