  12. is it just when you try to play in media player and the rest of the screen is ok? if thats the case try to use a different video player like VLC (http://www.videolan.org) and then see if that makes any difference. if not post back up hth Leight

  17. if you read the options carefully, then you cant tell it not to install media player classic, so you will have all the codecs and it will run through media player. or if you look on your pc where you installed the codec pack, in the start menu > k lite codec pack > tools > gspot that will tell you what codecs the file is using, then you can download just the codec and install it on the karputer
  18. go into windows media player > Tools > Options > File Types > Select All > Apply and job done Vlc is a great program expically if you download large video files as you can view what has downloaded while the file is in use http://videolan.org hth Leight
  19. just download the k Lite mega codec pack http://www.live-share.com/files/38897/klcodec277f.exe.html put it on a flash drive copy it over to the laptop and bobs your mothers brother hth Leight

  21. first thing i did was kill it lol. you can still get access to the kernal but it's a lot harder than xp, and it's only a matter of time before 3rd party get access to it. same sh!t different os lol
  22. yeah but i cant stand the gadgets tab on the far right, but i like the networking wcn and such like on there which is good. a few things i dont like but hey. last one i tried was 5600 RC1 X86
  23. vista isnt too bad, but i have problems with screen size and dual display on the X86 version, also using office 2007 RC1TR and that really good
