  1. A friend of mine had a similar situation on a vw forum and bought a rare set of alloys from a guy by bank transfer for £1000. Guy did same thing loads of excuses, dog died etc etc then disappeared of face of the earth. Cut a long story short guy did it to loads of forums, loads of guys got shafted, police got a case together and lad got jailed last week for 2 year for fraud!!! Good to hear finally police are doing something about these scammers but he never got a penny back as of yet.
  2. Hi guys Just thought I would post this up if anyone in market for front brake discs? Might help some out. Clark Motorsport near me having a sale on DBA brake discs on their ebay store due to fire damaged stock just the packaging is smoke damaged and I got a front set for £89 delivered which I thought were a bargain!? Ebay item number 161501160882 ( phone won't let me link) Tried to get a set for 350z but they only had non brembo discs Sorry if this is wrong place wasn't sure we're to post it, mods feel free to move if required.
  3. Great ill look at ordering a set today if that's all I costs, remember when HID kits were £££££ Some nice person decided to smash the mirror on the 350 last night as well so set for an expensive day.
  4. Are the lights easy enough to strip down? Ill need to give that a try with the HID is there a specific kit that seems to be good for z32? Need to do something with them, hid make a big difference.
  5. I think the car was parked up for a while before I bought it, so I thought the same thing. I stuck the wheels on the balancer and made sure the tyres where ok and rebalanced but nothing wrong the balanced out the same. I even tried swapping over the spare set of alloys but didn't cure it.
  6. Thanks Joely ill get one from Jeff I think iv seen a few guys are running them from the forum. To be honest I haven't driven it long enough to heat up to much but in the time I have driven it I have not noticed it improving. Another reason I haven't driven it much is headlights at the moment are terrible and can hardly see if I'm driving home at night. The car stays in my workshop gets a quick blast to shop and back to workshop until I sort all these issues out. Want to get it mechanically 110% perfect before I look at painting it for the summer.
  7. Thanks Groover that's what I thought The single piece props still readily available?
  8. That's what I mean with the bearing sitting off centre and is totally solid no perishing or anything. I'm used to the bush being pretty much centre with a little flexibility. If this is not normal on a zed I will get a single prop ordered just be hacked off spending £200 to find that's the way it's meant to be! It is around 30 -40mph that it starts to get a really violent vibration. If I slow down it goes away.
  9. Hi guys I recently bought my 300zx tt manual and have been slowly trying to iron out all the niggling faults. The car vibrates through the body of the car and gets quite severe at times. I got car on ramp and checked for sticking brakes, worn bushes, play in suspension but from what I seen looks ok. Also checked gearbox mount which also looks good. Decided to check the prop as guy I bought it from fitted a paddle clutch and thought the prop being removed never got fitted correctly. Checked the prop for play in bearing which has no play, totally solid, I did notice the prop was sitting low in the bush housing. Took the prop off tonight just to double check the bush and it is completely solid no rips or perishing. Only thing I can see is the bush sits off centre to the outer housing. Is this normal on z32? All other bushes I have changed have been dead centre. The prop also looks like it has never been split so balance should still be ok. Anyone have any other ideas to look for? Thanks Rich
  10. That's a really nice colour, suits the zed. What is it? Olympic blue? Could try the driftworks forum if it's more a track based car?
  11. So true! I had a supra tt auto in black about 6 -7 years ago sold it for£3k now a decent auto 6k and manual 10k plus!! Paul walker made everyone want one and price rocketed! Not sure about the funky graphics though! Looks like 300 prices can't get any lower they are bound to creep up, alot of car for the money when compared to sapphire cosies etc now fetching 8k + and a zed is a far better car in every way From same era. Didn't know about 99 spec spoiler thought it looked a bit different. Got loads of spares with it too different headlamps that look a bit nicer to.
  12. Lucky to get one with almost zero rust!! Has a minor dent in the drivers door i need to sort before summer and a couple of tatty bits like mirror caps but toying with the idea of a complete colour change - Candy Apple Red? Brake pipes, bushes etc are mostly original, has a couple of bits some sort of uprated shocks and springs adjustable, boost controller thats not wired up right, full decat exhaust. Look forward to using it more as you just dont see them about anymore. At the price they are now its a performance bargain compared to others of the same era?
  13. A couple of pics of 300 hope they work never posted pics on a forum before. And the 350Z
  14. Thanks for the welcome guys! I'll get a few pics up hoping to take it out tomorrow as weather up here has not been to bad last few days. the z32 is exactly how I remember it years ago pure old school jap muscle with a big grin factor!!
  15. Hi guys. Recently bought myself a low miles 1992 300zx tt manual in silver as I always wanted one years ago but always bought something else instead. Its not too modified, just little bits added, mainly sorting out some minor faults just now whoever worked on it before was no mechanic that's for sure! I also have the 350z as my daily which is great fun. Looks like a great active forum and looking forward to getting involved. Rich
