  1. Thanks for the welcomes; I will add pictures when I next get on. I'm an aircraft electrician myself and I can't see a downside to using aircraft grade wire. It doesn't burn so I guess you can't smell anything going wrong! lol. It has less resistance and better temperature resistance. Was he worrying about the kapton?
  2. Cheers for the info, Jaffa. I can get round to making mine now. :)
  3. Hello everyone, Based in Cheshire with a 1990 TT - the 300 is something I always wanted as kid! It is mildly modified but not up to my standard. I am currently in the process of building a new wiring loom out of aircraft spec wiring (nickel plated copper; the lower resistance allows a step down in gauge over "normal" wire generally), have two old engines being made into one forged one and the bodywork is going to be changed (bringing back the original lights). Oh and it's going to get a diet. :P It's not going to be a race car but I want a super car that Nissan intended :P Anyway, looking forward to learn a lot.
  4. Hi, where did you get all your connectors and contacts for your wiring loom? I have some aircraft grade wire (nickel plated copper) (lower resistance so a smaller gauge can be used) but I haven't found a decent supplier of the contacts. On top of that, this build is great - I will keep following. :)
