Getting a TT tomorrow :)
sorry the pics didnt seem to load properly, i will try again Oh and one last thing, is it normal for a TT to have a clutch pedal that you virtually have to jump on to depress and an arm built like a gorilla to change gear? or is it just where I have been used to a Hyundai coupe?? Cheers Steve

Getting a TT tomorrow :)
Well i finally picked it up last Friday, ive only just got round to getting some pics. Was washing it on saturday, and on Sunday I was at Donny South car show. Here is my lovely Zed TT I love my zed, still not taken it to a car park yet as you all have suggested, but just from driving it home you could tell that there is loads of power under the bonnet. Only bad bit is that my battery is now dead  i was looking over the service history and from the MOT certificates it only did 200miles last year so this is probably why the battery is no good. So off to Halford the weekend to get a new battery. and also to Nissan to get a service (that way i know its all good). Hope to see some of you soon Steve

The speeding up and processing of cheques
Just thought I would shed some light on this, I work for barclays, yes sad i know, im not all clued up on Personal banking as i deal with corporate banking, but i guessing that the process will be the same. The cheque clearing cycle is 5 working days, so 5 working days after you pay in you cheque you should have clear funds in you account. I know that corporate customers can do a special cheque service, this WILL NOT speed up the cleaing cylce but it will tell you if the cheque will clear after day 3 of the clearing cylcle. So you could in effect pay out on uncleard funds. This is usually at a cost of about £15. But could be different for peresonal customers, and for other banks. Just be warned that this service does rely on the postal service. Basically when you pay the cheque in your branch will send the cheque to the drawers bank and ask if the cheque will clear or not, the drawee bank must give your bank an answer by the 3 working day of the clearance cycle. But like I said this relies on the postal service. If your lucky enough to have a bank account at the same branch as the person that gave you the cheque then you will get same day clearance as this is an "in-house cheque". Banks used to do a same day service where you could be told if the cheque would clear, basically they would call the drawees bank and ask them if the cheque will clear, and they would give them an answer there and then, but I know that Barclays stopped offering this service as other banks would say yes but then the cheque would bounce, and then deny the telephone conversation. I know its sad that I know this but I thought it would help out. Steve

Fix one thing, break another!
Well im fairly new to the site, but when i put on my lambo doors on my hyundai and whenever I turned on my interior light it would turn my clock on and off, and it turned out to be a fuse that had gone. the Hyundai had 2 sets of fuses on under the bonnet of the car, and one under the dash in the drivers foot well, but like i said im new to the zed so i could be completely wrong but have you checked your fuses? Getting a TT tomorrow :)
£5000!!!! OUCH, well im still 20 only till the 25th August, not that ive begun the count down yet lol but still ive been used to paying this sort of money on insurance for a while so why not have a great car for the money, :D I hope the insurance will come down next year, my first accident gets wiped off my record, and I should have (touch wood) 1 yr NCB, and I will be 21, so fingers crossed it comes down in price. Only 1 day till i pick up my Zed, i cant wait. :hyper: Steve

Getting a TT tomorrow :)
My insurance isnt actually that bad, altho ive been told by people at work (who are much older than me i mite add lol) that im paying an absolute fotune, but considering ive got 2 accidents against my name i dont think £1300 per year is all that bad. Ive was paying £1100 per year for my hyundaicoupe. What do you all think? Steve

Getting a TT tomorrow :)
It is the UK spec one 1994 M reg, the guy had 2, one was a uk and one was a jap import, the Uk one was in much better condition to my surprise. The dash on the import had started to fall apart, probably where it was constantly in the heat. The Uk spec had full leather interior as well whereas the import didnt, and the Uk one had a CAT 1 alarm, and full service history, it even has reciepts for when the tyres were replaced!! Im well chuffed, used my trusted guide and from what i could see/tell it was all in order. So who will be at Donny south? Steve

Getting a TT tomorrow :)
Thanks for all the advice guys, im looking at one in Erith, a guy called Joe is selling it he has 2 one UK spec and one Jap import, he always has 300zx's for sale, anyone bought one from him before? he seems a genuine guy, and also has one that he breaks for spares if ever i needed any. Once again, thanks for all the advice. Once ive got it I will be sure to take it to a big open car park, just to make sure i can handle the car. If all goes well, I will be taking the car to Donny South so if anyone is going to be there I will come say hi. Steve

Antf, your car looks great mate with a really good spec, but im really after a manual, not offence but i personally think an Auto takes the fun out of driving. Steve

Getting a TT tomorrow :)
Im not really much of a risk taker, and you probably wont believe me but im not a boy racer (no matter what my last cars looked like) my red coupe was built as a show car, and it was, until i had a nasty accident down a county lane and some oil on the road :( I dont really drive like a maniac, but the 300zx is a car ive always liked, I dont really want a car that ive got to plough loads of money into to make it look good, (im kind of an attention seeker when it comes to cars lol). I dont think I will be happy with anyother car for a while, not until I can afford a Dodge Viper anyway

Yeah i know, i was taken out in one last weekend, and that just sold the car to me, it has a massive amount of power. My red coupe was quick (2ltr running 60bhp of NOS) but not that quick. Im looking forward to being a zed owner, not too sure about the fuel bill tho :(
