  5. I suspect he just fitted the bulbs without the kit but I will have to take them out and have a look myself {You know that they say if you want something doing..............}! Very many thanks for such comprehensive and very helpful advice. I'm going to like this forum!!
  6. Hi All, Just a quick intro. Have owned Z's for about 7 years. The first one I had to have put down as it had been used and VERY abused. I did throw some time and money at it but it needed putting out of its misery. The second one I bought as an Ex Nissan show car {pinch of salt}, although it did have 42K on the clock and was pristine inside and out. This is the one I plan as a keeper as she is a sound starting point. Don't plan to change her too much changing the front to a '99 spec bumper and but had the rear wing carbon fibre wrapped to match the wheels. {Thinking of taking it off now though as she is being resprayed within the next few weeks}. Have already done the basics to the engine just refurbing the bits subject to age wear. Once the outside is sorted I will tweek the inside then look to the engine bay again. Being a girlie I am not that bothered what the engine looks like as long as its sound. Onwards and upwards.
  7. If this has been asked before please gforgive me but I am a Newbie to the forum. Can anyone help.:helpsmilie: While my car was undergoing new injectors I got the Z mechanic to swap over the low beam headlight bulbs to xenon ones replacing the stock bulbs. Really wished I hadn't as the light emission is diabolical! - like driving on side lights. I have been advised that I should try E46 with eom 4300k d2s bulbs these are usually fitted to BMW's. Now,.... I am a complete moron when it comes to bulbs/electrics {and a few other things too it must be said} but apparantly the cooler {blue-er} the light, the less light it actually throws, putting it in simple terms. But apparantly this E46 etc etc is a lower something or other {told you I didn't understand} and is still a blue light but is much more efficient at actually 'lighting' . I found these on Ebay which allegedly shows the difference. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380337416472?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 My question is: are these bulbs appropriate to fit into standard stock lights and fitting or... does anyone recommend a xenon bulb which actually lights the road properly and what is it? Really appreciate any help as its a little scary driving with these lights at speed. Jan
