  1. I would like to have a in-dash/DIN screen, but due to my car I can't. I was thinking about maybe getting this one: http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=33 or this: http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=136 How is your Lilliput in bright/direct sunlight, Legrath? Are you able to see anything on it? And what about at night, does it have a dim function? YGM BTW :) Ken
  2. I would like to be able to watch DVDs, listen to music and use GPS. I was thinking about getting M10000/MII12000, 60gig HD, 512MB RAM and a wireless network card (so I can park outside my house and move MP3's etc wirelessly from my home network to my car). I was thinking about just using the on-board sound card to start of with, and maybe get a better if the sound quality is really bad. Do you think a normal car battery would be able to hold this using a M1-ATX? Ken
  3. Thank you, you seem to know quite a bit about this stuff :) The shipping and tax shouldn't be a problem, as I will get it as "moving" stuff from the States :) I have been looking at this one from Mp3car: http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=35&products_id=123 What do you think about it? I have no prior experience of the Mini-ITX stuff, so all help is greatly appreciated. Do you think the Mp3car "Ampie" system would be worth it's price with M10000, 60gig HD, 512MB DDR Ram and the M1-ATX power supply (sounds quite neat with all the power on/off etc in-built functions) My budget for this is about 700£ (1200$) and that should include the computer, at least 7" VGA Touch Screen and the Power Supply (I would prefer it to automatically turn on or shut off the car as you turn on/off the car). Basically everything I need to get a running computer in my car. What would you recommend me to get? Oh, and I would prefer to buy this from the US as it's used to be quite a lot cheaper there and as I get free shipping and no tax. Ken
  4. Thanks. Yep, I have been looking at a carputer from Mp3car, they are quite cheap compared to what you pay for them over here where I live. :)
  5. Looks quite interesting, especially the feature to make your own custom skins. Does MapMonkey have a good user interface? I wonder if you could get those Destinator maps for Scandinavia too. http://www.mapmonkey.net/
  6. Would be quite cool if they would make paintjobs like that on trucks :)
  7. I used to play the early series many many years ago:)
  8. I'm planning to buying a "carputer" to which I would add a GPS receiver, so now I need a good software for it. Recommend your favourite one :) Ken
  9. :rofl:rofl:rofl:
  10. Looks very nice :)
  11. We're ready for take off!
  12. I wonder why anyone would do like this...
  13. Oh, and just to make it clear, the Z's over here are Very expensive, I could easily pay +10000£ for a quite bad one and over 17000£ for one in good condition. Importing it from abroad would make it a little bit cheaper, but the taxes over here are insane, and I would end up paying almost the same price which it would cost to buy one here... :(
  14. I was mate, but I can't afford a car braking down on me atm. But I am going to buy one in a couple of years when I can afford one in very good condition.
  15. Those are really cool, and with nice hubcaps you would have a killer set of wheels :mac1:
  16. Those look quite nice Si, but I suppose they are quite expensive :) Btw, have you ever seen a Camaro and a Firebird at the same time and compared them? I did it the other day just so I could choose which one to get, and I have to say that the FB looked better in My opinnion :) Yep, thats true, but it's always nice though to get someone elses opinnion on it :)
  17. Thanks guys, yep I think I will go for the Vapors as they probably will fit better to the car in question. Has anyobody had experience with MB Motoring alloys, are they good quality?
  18. Oh, thanks! It would actually be quite easy using an Xbox I think. They are quite cheap nowdays, but still powerfull enough to play DVD's etc.
  19. Which alloys do you think would look better on this car? The first ones are MB Motoring Vapor's and the other ones are König Imagine's. And the car in questions is a Pontiac Firebird as on the pictures (The only difference is that mine has T-tops) The car in question is going to look like this: MB Motoring Vapor: König Imagine: If you don't like either of them, please tell me what wheels you think would fit on it.
  20. The prices on the Z's over there are just sick, over here you get about 17000€ (~11700£) for a decent one, and for a really nice one you get +25000€ (~17000£)...
  21. I would, but I don't own a Z yet, and probably won't have one in a couple of years as I just bought another car. Btw, I say two Z wrecks in a nearby garage a couple of hours ago. It would be quite nice as a projct, so I may go and ask them for a price quote next monday :)
