  1. Do you know how much he paid for the set to be restored? These are in good nick apart from the rims need repolishing Think si lives in somerset too which could be a little far to go... :(
  2. Well done my bodges repair job: Take one didn't work too well, the epoxy resin wasn't the same as my usual stuff and melted with the heat causing a little swearing and mess this morning. Take two seems to be holding. Slit a 30mm dia pipe inside and screwed directly into it using epoxy resin to seal the whole thing together and hold it on the rad. Fingers crossed till MarcZ32 sends me that rad, soon as that cheque comes for 1500 i'm off to buy a koyo i think :)
  3. Nah it'd be nice but can't see it happening but if the new cougar/capri looks like that (think its called the vision) then i'd be happy. missing some ears though, looks odd (got cameras in the doors)
  4. Awesome, found a top guy called Alan, works as a wheel repair specialist in Brum, lives about 20 miles from me in Water Orton. SweeneySherlock passed me onto him (or rather his dad who then passed me on to him) had a chat with him for 10 mins and he says pop round any night with the wheel and he'll sort it for me. Asked how much to have the rim straightened and skimmed clean of kerb marks and he says under 40 quid! Bonus :D Also got jeff faulks to fit the two tires after i've cleaned the wheels up for a tenner each and another mate gets tyres at trade price so 50 quid a piece or so for the two rear ones. Its all coming together slowly.....

  8. Yep know about that buddy, tried my patched radiator and it started leaking so had to leave it to cool down only opened it too soon and blew hot brown water all over my bonnet and engine bay again :( Just to add insult to injury when i got back i found 4 neatly crafted craps all over my front end. Flipping sparrows :( :mac1:
