I've just spent an hour with a recovery driver looking over the other halfs car (headgasket failure) and everytime i mentioned my 300 the response i got every time was: "My mates nova is a beast, its had a 5.7 litre v8, broke the gearbox at the pod it's that quick... blah blah blah" Wanted to belt the guy, he drives a 1.8 fookin Vectra! :rofl:

Scary thing was i actually was at the services we met up at first yesterday when i went to check over the new motor, didn't realise till i got there :D lol

incidentally if anyone else uses the same relay facing the female side of the plug: A -- B -- C -- Remove B and put A in its place then the new LED relay should plug straight in It's located above the steering column about 2 inches from the bulkhead and is clipped into place, i ended up snapping the old relay guides off getting it off and the new relay doesn't fit in the same place so you'll need to bind it in place with electrical tape or something similar to stop it hanging or rattling round

Sorry forgot to put an update up on after i'd fitted them. Took the pins out of the relay connector and put them in the correct position then plugged the new relay in with no hassle whatsoever. Left it 24 hours and now everything works fine, no idea why one was flickering. Perhaps like vinz says there was a dodgy earth, either way it works fine now :)
