Nah, course not just got plans for a V8 conversion in the future and worked out the costs of doing mine up to the spec i wanted against the spec of buying a good one and this one was beautiful. Was having a few chats with John Dixon and Friday the other week when i went to look at their projects. I do also prefer the sound of the NA's, more rorkous this one sounds barking mad :D

Wasn't there a group buy on na manifolds/porting or something? This is going back a bit though

I'm just moving back from a turbo to a non turbo and i've owned both. As with all 3 litre cars they aren't exactly what you'd call economical! I have squeezed 34mpg at 65mph on cruisecontrol without the aircon on my old na on the motorway and managed 600 miles on one tank of petrol. TT you're looking at 26mpg at the most at 70mph Performance is good, both TT and NA are close up to 90 then afterwards then the TT pulls away (something to do with the gearing i think) You're looking about 6-6.5 to 60mph

I'm sorry to say guys my zed will be sold as of sunday night so not much point in me dynoing it for 50 quid :( I wish i'd had the new one to dyno this weekend but i won't have it in time to come, sorry to drop out guys :(

Oh i dont know about that, it's much more responsive than the TT (auto to manual) and the headers/manifolds/lightweight flywheel seem to do a cracking job :D

It could be fun, looking forward to not having to worry about the turbos blowing any more. Never really settled with a turbo car and missed the reliability of the na i had before :D ...plus this is quicker :D

They are indeed :D It's a progressive NOS setup which to be honest i may remove and might be up for sale if you're interested ;) Don't worry not metaflake it's black with like a fine purple powder mixed in? looks black but glows purply in the sun

My manager just came in and said one of the guys at Blue Square (?) owns a reddy orange zed with a personalised plate? They've just been for a meeting there and recognised what car it was. Apparently it has a fairlady badge on the back? Who's is that then? :D
