If your radiator cap spring is weak it lets water out of the radiator into the overflow container, there is no return from the overflow container back into the radiator, so over time the overflow container fills up, once its full water leaks out from the join (which does not have a seal) between the container and the fill pipe. Try a new radiator cap, as a first step to curing your leak. HTH
