  1. Hi All, This car needs no introduction, I bought N300 SWB from Sir Charles around a year ago now. The specifications remain as below: Front Mount Intercooler Uprated Alloy Radiator Apexi Air Filter Mines Adjustable FPR With Gauge JD Chip Greddy Spec 2 Profec EBC Defi Boost Gauge MeisterR Coilovers 6/4 Ajustable Front Tension Rods (MeisterR) Adjustable Front camber arms (MeisterR) Uprated Clutch Driftworks HICAS Arms 18" Rota GTR Alloys with 8.5" front 9.5" rear Hankook Tyres D2 8 pot brakes w/330mm floating discs (purple) Rear nissan calipers colour coded (purple) Brand new HIDs 99 Spec Front Bumper Front fog ducts 99 Spec rear light copies Light up Rear centre panel Rare front and rear spats Leather Seats Alcantara Door cards and trim Momo Steering wheel RAZO Pedals Pioneer Bluetooth Headunit Alarmed and Immobiliser - Sigma S30 With the following changes: BOVs removed, currently recirculating but I have a pair of refurbed recircs ready to fit Now running Hankook tyres Exhaust rotted away, so its now a custom "Boso Pipe" (See Pictures, sounds awesome - although not to everyone's taste) Headunit Replaced with Pioneer DEH-8400BT, personal preference. Heater Matrix replaced and dash de-rattled due to slight leak! 13 Months MOT / Who Knows on Tax with the new system :) The car has just gone through its MOT and passed, with the following advisories: Both Front Brake Discs Nearly Dead (Due to JapFest frivolities) Both Front Tyres on their way out (As Above) Left and Right rearmost sub frame bushes deteriorated but not resulting in excessive play Coolant Leak - This was a weep from the lower radiator hose, now resolved. Generally speaking the car is in great condition, it was re-sprayed and de-rusted during one of its previous ownerships so it looks good and is tidy in all the right places. The sills are solid, as is the underbody with only surface corrosion on some suspension parts etc. The only area of complaint is some bubbling toward the rear drivers side of the car (mostly the arch) - when I say this, its only around a 50p sized area and should not require too much work, I simply haven't found a body shop I trust in Reading to look at it. The under-bonnet is very ordinary looking and could use some shiny pipes and aluminium, but is otherwise tidy and functional. My only other complaint would be the wheels, they have had a light run in with some kerbs and could use a tidy. I have dyno print outs for 336~ horsepower with a lovely curve, and the car drives really well. The engine has happy oil pressure and boost, and the gearbox changes well, if not a little short shifter-y due to the short shifter ! Mechanically the car has never let me down. No smoke from the turbos, even without cats and the oil is very clean with low useage. The only oddity is the exhaust, the super-megaphone that was on the car rotted away, I replaced it with a Bozo-Style straight pipe so I could drive the car while I found a replacement - but the thing sounds so good I never ended up replacing it. I will try and embed a video if possible! This brings me to why am I getting rid, frankly my work as a consultant keeps me in hotels in all corners of the country 6 days a week - the Z has sat on the drive under a cover coming out for Reading JapMeet and not much more for the last few months. I don't need to sell it, and frankly don't want to - but running two cars seems daft when I only use the Z once a fortnight. It feels like time to sell up both my imports, take my bonus and buy something with a warranty. So before winter kicks in, and takes its toll - I thought I would offer it up. As for the price, I have taken what I paid, subtracted new tyres brakes and a few quid extra for depreciation/paint/etc, £3800 drives it away tomorrow. There is some wiggle room, but much lower than that I may as well keep it for a rainy day. A bunch of pictures can be found here -> http://imgur.com/a/Y8bue Exhaust video coming soon!
  2. I need to measure them up, what size are yours ?
  3. Hi All, I have the D2 Big brake kit on my Z, and I need some replacement discs (rotors to be correct!) as mine were flagged on the MOT. Does anyone know of a decent supplier ? I can find a few but they all include the bells, which I don't need or want to pay for :) Alternatively do any other manufactures rotors bolt up to these bells ? Thanks All, Regards, Simon
  4. Hi All, My Z has D2 big brakes on the front, braided lines and everything else stock. The problem I have is the pedal feel, there is a lot of travel before the brakes pick up properly, and decelerating from warp speed I can hit the floor with the pedal and still not get the full effect of the brakes. I have changed fluid, and rebuild the MC but I feel the correct solution here is a bigger / higher displacement master cylinder - so my question is - does anyone know of an aftermarket or cross model swap I can do ? Searching only turns up "240sx brake upgrade 300zx mc" . dang silvia boys! Thanks, Regards, Simon
  5. Clicks and ticks in the bay can often be manifold/turbo/downpipe leaks. Stands to reason if the exhaust was pushed hard from behind, that force could have gone all the way to the manifolds/heads.

Not sure if I am on the list... so sign me up ! I am in Reading (assuming thats south central !)
  7. Hey guys, Thanks for replying :) Sir Charles - unfortunately my garden is under 3 ft of water and between me and the shed where the box is! z32bolt - My mrs is from Poole so I could have made excuses to head down, but its a bit far with 4/5 :) Sorted in the end, and my new nuts arrived from driftworks today. I had my tyres replaced by Event mobile fitters and he must have forgotten to do one of them up, as it promptly flew off 10 miles later. Will be doing my own checks next time !
  8. I was coming back from Basingstoke Sunday afternoon, just entering the 40mph section of the road heading toward Reading, saw a white fairly standard looking 300ZX pass me in the other direction. I was in the Silver Slicktop :batman:
  9. Don't suppose anyone anywhere near Reading/London has a wheel nut I could borrow ? Closer the better ! My dad took the car out, and managed to lose one (dont ask!) and Driftworks apparently don't know the meaning of Next Day Delivery !
  10. Fancy coming along to this, probably with my other half who has quite a bit of pro camera gear :) Looks like it could be epic!
  11. Cheers phoenix, Despite having all the libraries, my copy of FAST just says "CD Error" when I give it the VIN. At least now I know! I assume fast can also decode the model number ? I will have to get it working! Regards, Simon
  12. Hi All, I can't seem to get my copy of FAST to accept the Japanese chassis number from an import Z. Would anyone with a working copy, with JDM libraries installed, be able to give me the details on CZ32-550072 ? Thanks :)
  13. Yeah sure, I am usually around at the weekends fiddling with cars. I am actually only in Purley/Pangbourne so really only down the road. Ping me a PM!
