there is an electrical plug on the seat belt reel in the door. i unplugged this and have had no problems since
  3. i've had the same problem mate. not entirely sure of the specifics but i think it has something to do with the syncromesh being weak. most people on here change the gearbox oil to mt-90 which has been known to cure the problem. i changed my 'box oil last week and it definately made a difference.

  5. doing your brakes soon might be a good idea. braided brake hoses are about £65 from zcentre.
  6. i've seen that lightweight flywheel and it will be added to my list but in the mean time i'll be doing the brakes and suspension.
  7. wow those girls at the top are stunning. i wouldn't want to run into the bottom 4 in a dark alley :hurl:
  8. my brother and i fitted my sgp underdrive pulley today :D found getting the old pulley off a real PITA until we took the rad out. but after that it wasn't too bad. also took the opportunity to change the viscous fan and sort out the idle problem (the air reg was sticking). so its been a very productive weekend for me. the car now feels much more willing to rev at low rpm. really pleased with it. just gotta fit my headers now :D
  9. hi mate, its a bit tricky to get to as its right at the back of the engine and one of the bolts is difficult to get to but if you have a small rachet handle and a deep 10mm socket you'll be fine. here's a link that should be helpful. http://www.es-ab.se/z-car/IdleTech.html if that doesn't help try cleaning the throttle bodies. hth alex
  10. i agree mate. have a go. there's no shame getting beaten by a car that fast and you might surprise him a bit :)
