  1. A couple more good British films that some people may remember. Again, these don't get played all that often. Both EXCELLENT WW2 films. Empire of the Sun Hope and Glory
  2. Yup! "Stand by me". My favourite film quote is from this. Chris Chambers: You four eyed pile o' shit! (directed at Teddy) Teddy Duchap: A pile o' shit has a thousand eyes
  3. It's spy film based on the cold war. It's very good. Worth a watch. Another cracker....I am sure most on here will know what it is.
  4. Another good British film that rarely gets played on TV anymore is another Michael Caine film (Fav British Actor).....was a film called "The Fourth Protocol". I always carry this around in the Z and is a film I sit and watch while waiting to board the ferry to France.
  5. From Dusk Till Dawn is a cracking film. But....I am suprised that none of the Back to the Future films have been mentioned. I love them!...well, the 3rd one is a bit crap, but the first two are ace! My favourite British Film is, without doubt, Get Carter! "Your eyes never change. Still the same; like piss-holes in the snow"
  6. MK4 XR3is were gutless though. Only 130bhp. My ZX 16v had 167bhp. Same engine as the Xsara VTS...which again, I kinda like and nearly bought a new one once. Glad I didn't as they are worth less than Z32s now! I could quite easily out handle and outpace *JUST* VR6 MK3s up to about 60.
  7. I used to have a Citroen ZX 16v. The base that the 306 GTi-6 was based on....albeit without the 6 speed gearbox. I loved it, out handled a lot of more modern and expensive metal. Was pretty nippy and surprisingly, for a French car, I found it quite well screwed together. A very rare car it was. Hugely underrated. Quicker and better handling than anything else in its league. Not seen one on the road for a good few years. I'd have another if I could find a decent original version. Wish I hadn't sold mine as it was immaculate. Mine was red, like the below.
  8. So sorry to hear that mate. I've seen your car in the flesh and can vouch for the condition. It's certainly a car I'd be happy to own and one I'd very much consider if I was in the market for another. Tasteful car for sure and one that has been well looked after. As for value, I'd be happy to pay £5k for a mint stock one. So hopefully around that price and above? Maybe 6-7k? But with the state of the economy, it might take longer to shift. But because it is so tasteful and well looked after, I'd hope you will get LOTS of interest for it.
  9. How about Coronation Chicken instead!? Anyone else here dislike cold meats? Cold ham in a mustard sandwich is nice, but cold chicken....blurgh!
  10. Don't EVER EVER buy ANYTHING from Swan, especially sauce pans. Never experienced such a case of 'Ministry of Crap Design' -ism as these useless pieces of shit. 'Non-stick', because the non stick surfaces don't actually adhere to the metalwork they are supposed to stick to, so peal off and contaminate food. They are rusting quicker than a Maestro 1.3 HLE. USELESS! MORE USELESS than LED washer jets and chrome windscreen wipers! /rant
  11. Depends what type of films you're into, but IMO, YES! It's a Sci-Fi, but appeals to different sectors. I think it's awesome. A deep and grimey underground film. Worth putting through a HUGE tv with surround sound and it's at its best!
  12. My favourite foreign film though is Quatre garcon pleins d'avenir. A hilarious french film.
  13. Bladerunner FTW!! Followed closely by Forrset Gump and The Green Mile!
  14. Dog shite, beer cans and curry farts. Although you might want to concentrate on checking the condition of the crank journals and the condition of the shells. If there's any marking on the crank journals, you'll need to drop the engine and take the crank.
  15. No problems with it! Thank fook! lol
  16. Meh, I think he did already in a roundabout sort of way...well, he does work for the BBC! ;)
  17. What year is your car?
  18. I went to MidwestZfest in Oklahoma last year and that was an absolute blast! Helps that I know people there, but never the less, it should be fun. Happy days. :D
  19. Right, I'll be going. Flying to Atlanta, then a single to Memphis for a roadtrip across Tennessee and Georgia with 3ZC's administrator (TnkrsToyCo) and will end up at Z1 Motorsport's premises in Carrollaton for the 3 day event at the end of September. Should be good. :)
  20. Yeah it was. Very warm there. A little 'fake' for me as there are just far too many tourists there. But enjoyed it.
  21. Blimey! There's a name from the past. Not seen you on here for ages!
