new wheels ..what you think?
Look lovely....a deeper dish on the rear might have been that bit nicer, but classy looking wheels. :)

Replaced one of the PCV valves on my Zed today (poss boring thread)
Nope, didn't get a kit. Just genuine Nissan PCV valves. Had no idea that you were required to change anything else....

Nope, pipes weren't that bad, just split, I'm going to order new ones. I assume you mean the rubber pipes that clip to the fixed pipes that go round the back of the inlet manifold.

I've had a Taurus on hire over there. Nice drive actually. But do agree with the colours. Brown tweed wasn't too nice IMHO. Mine was a ranger topper too, but didn't come with leather. Did you see how big the centre consol is in the Taurus? Strategically the same size for a super size maccys. The cup holder was bucket sized too!

Fuel Light??
Not bad on a NA car, won't cause any damage, but with the sudden cut in fuel on a turbo charged car during mid stroke, it can be quite dangerous.

Pontiac Firebird
No worst than the 4.0 V8 Rover engine pumping out a similar amount!

Opinions?
I quite like the Bomex stuff, front bumper needs ridding of some of the shapes in it though to smooth it out and make it look a little less cluttered....other than that it's nice.

Yeah the old V6 engines were crap. Buick designed I think. A true 90 degree Vee. Pushrod too like the V8s, but the early V6's were pants. I've driven the V6 Gen 4 Camaro, whilst it was not quick, it was perfectly capable. The V8 is a nice engine though and with tuning options, it makes a decent buy. Not suitable on UK roads, but then again, only Ford Fiestas seem to be these days with the state of the road surfaces and current priced of fuel.

Fuel Light??
Mine comes on at different intervals. It's rather strange. Have had it come on when the needle was not in the red. It can be bad to run it that low. As you may get starvation. When that happens, pistons can go through blocks. If you don't drive on boost when it's that low, you'll be ok. But say you're going round a corner and you do a hard take off.....you could find the pump will suck up nothing.....BANG!

Gen 4's are between 93 and 96 iirc. After that, they were changed a bit with boring looking headlights. But had the addition of having the newer LS1 all alloy Corvette engine fitted. So a bit more power.

Replaced one of the PCV valves on my Zed today (poss boring thread)
So, I went round to PJ's this afternoon to pick up some PCV valves for my Zed as it keeps dumping oil every so often.....and on startup...AND blows has blown the dipstick out. Last few weeks have been boring...I've not taken it over 3k rpm and have always kept the turbos in vacumme as much as I could. On hard acceleration originally, it used to smoke a bit...all the time. Didn't when I first bought it and have only covered about 1000 miles. Anyway, attacked the drivers side first....erm, pipe split, bit a bit of 'modding' and all was well. Bit awkward to get off, but refitted it. Then came the passenger side. What a complete and utter mare. Before I started to smash things up, I calmly and collectively put the tools down and decided to leave it for another day....too much wiring and crap to remove successfully when I'd already be swearing at the other side. Anyway, seems to have already made a difference. On hard boost, it doesn't smoke like it used too. Intermitantly it does, but took a friend out in it earlier and had it on full boost through the first three gears. Changing just before the redline...kept an eye on the rear view mirror and nothing. :) Where as before, on hard boost, it would smoke a fair bit. Still does it front time to time, but I think once the other one is replaced, it will be a lot better. Didn't blow the dip stick out either....so result there. :) Chucked some black soot out on start up earlier. Have a feeling it's pinking a bit. So will be getting the chip changed.

Yeah sure is. Beats my zed ten fold for looks. :(

Pontiac Firebird
Wouldn't go that far, the V6 is similar power to the N/A Zed. The LT1 5.7 V8 engine has the same power as the TT Zed. Probably more tunable too. Quite easy to get a reliable 500bhp from these without having to do too much work. I was looking at a Gen 4 Camaro before I decided on the Zed. Share the same chassis, floorpan and running gear as the Firebird. Known as the F-bodies. I find the Pontiac ugly though. Have always loved the zed, but the combination of having a RHD AND something that was a bit more affordable, I chose the Zed. This was how I was planning on getting one if I bought one.

picked up the zed today !! And she is looking..
Cool...well done on it though...that shine is awsome.... ...pssssssst, black mesh looks sooooo much better. ;)

Looks fantastic!! I feel that some dished rims would compliment the kit a bit more. Nice 9" wide at the back. :)

Your opinion: boy racer car?
Show this to her...... Boy Racer Car = Zed

Your opinion: boy racer car?
It might have been an NA Auto with a garish body kit on, some Venoms, Neons and a huge alloy rear wing....in which case, she's kinda right in a way. ;)

At last, a nice Evo?
You must be thinking of an Evo 6 there surely!!!! Evo 5 and 6 look like they've come straight from Max Power with their nasty spoilers bumpers and vents. Hideous cars IMHO. This just looks ace!

At last, a nice Evo?
Not going to be everyone's cuppa tea. But I think this look great. Have never liked the look of the Evo. The latest one looks ok, but on the whole, they've never been that pleasing to the eye...as for the 5 and 6, they are just down right ugly as feck! But liking this a lot!

fuel prices ffs
Not too sure what's going on. Everywhere seems to have dropped its fuel prices, but Super U/L is still over a pound a litre....why is this? Local Sainsbury's has cheap 97 though.
