Stunning colour yours is Dave. Really starting to like these Sky Blues. Would have mine done in a Sky Blue with a very very mild and subtle gold flip in it if I had the funds.
  3. Really? I did my east coast trip in a Sebring Convertible. I have some photos of me in it driving round a roundabout near the Capiton Building in DC. I'm not going as far as San Francisco. Santa Barbara will be the furthest north if I decide to go there. Going to concentrate my efforts around San Diego and some time in Long Beach.
  4. Sounds about right. Charge for removal and refit is about £500 for the engine. Then you have to have a new headset, timing kit including rollers/water pump etc, heads need skimming and pressure testing. That lot will cost you over £500?
  5. Is that a wise idea? Bit like offering a nuclear arsenal to Bin Laden.
  6. BTW, when I was talking about buses in my first post. I wasn't talking about the public transport variety....I was talking about their 5hitty vans and hippy buses that a lot of them ride round in.
  7. Say for arguments say I had to use public transport to get to work. It would be as follows. Bus from Glastonbury to Bristol Temple Meads = £25 per week on 10 day saver return. Temple Meads to Avonmouth via train = £ 10 return per day...only 4 returns a day. Taxi from Avonmouth to Royal Portbury Dock = £15 (return) per day. Time per day 5 hours Cost per week £150 FU.CK OFF YOU TREE HUGGING ENVIRONMENTALIST PILTCHARDS!
  8. Look at his stupid haircut. Anyone with a haircut like that wants all of his remaining intelligence removed by a f.uck-wit-atron before throwing him in the river Amazon and have bilharzia swim up his colon.
  9. Is that the bloke that headed the Newbury bypass tree huggers protesters then?
  10. Yes, that's right. Driving back from the MOT today, I was sat waiting to join a road..again full of stupid pedestrians. One of which saw me sat there with the car burbling away, thought it was in her best interest to moan at me because my car was a 'big gas guzzler'. She said, 'stop polluting the air with that car'. So I leaned out of the window and to her to "STF and stop polluting my ears with the crap coming out of her mouth". A few by-standers started laughing at this point, to which I made a silly commend about 'her types' and the knackered old busses they use which pump out 20 times more crap than my Z ever would. She walked off in a huff then. I just smiled sweetly and drove on my merry way. Oh, the joys of living in Glastonbury!
  11. ...and why, when walking across a road, they notice a car coming towards and start walking across even more slowly and give you the evils when you drive past...like you're either going too fast or you shouldn't be in the road in the first place??!!
  12. I've been noticing this more and more lately. Maybe it's because I live in Glastonbury and the place is just festooned with tree huggers and brain dead tumbleweed hicks.....or maybe pedestrians really are retards. Anyway, why do they insist on walking in the road...when...THERE'S A FU.CKING PAVEMENT THE OTHER SIDE?? :headvswal /fin
  13. ...infact, that doesn't even make sence. You'd get water getting into the combustion chamber, not the other way round.
  14. Your rad water is brown though. Enough to change the colour of a liquid. I'd try a coolant flush first. If you've got gasses leaking into the coolant, then a compression test will show if anythings leaking.
  15. It's been 4 years since I was there last. Did an East Coast road trip from Daytona Beach all the way up to Washington DC. Was fantastic. Favourite place is Savannah in Georgia....you know where Forest Gump is sat on the park bench? Well, that's Savannah and it's the most lovely relaxed and chilled out place I've ever been to. Could have stopped there forever. I HATE gritz though!
  16. Oh good grief.
  17. Brown crap...could just mean your coolant has just been neglected...like many a Zed. It would be mayo in colour if water had gotten in there. What's this block test? Not heard of that one. BTW, it's engine out job to change the head gaskets on a TT.
  18. bom bom? What sort of a name is that???? LOL ;)
  19. I've never been when it's cold. Oh, tell a lie, was in DC during a storm. But just being there feels ubber cool. Dunno what it is about the place. The wide long roads, the huge vastness and open feeling you get when you're there.
  20. Hope he didn't brown-banana on the seat.
  21. I'd love to live in the States. Tried to get my internship over there when I was at uni....and didn't manage to. So, it'll be quite cold then at that time of the year then if you're north of San Fran.
  22. You should always be able to hear the viscous fan working hard on startup for the first few seconds. If you don't, then generally, it's foobarred.
  23. I used to. Don't care much for the stuff anymore. Find other ways to relax dependant upon atmosphere.
  24. That's a point. I'll ask them nicely not to detinate. See what they say. Worth a crack though innit....
