Haha "family saloon" :P I enjoy it, already having fun and games with the HICAS system ;) And the radio is very Japanese... so that's my current focus to get sorted. :)

Newbie right at the beginning of the journey
Well hello all, just got a mail saying I haven't done anything for about a year here. Alot has happened, unfortunately I never got my 300ZX, due to "budgetory pressures" (basically it turns out the Jag was worth about 20p), and with buying a house I just couldn't get a decent ZX in budget. I have managed to keep it Nissan though and I've just taken delivery of this beauty; Thanks to all that made me feel welcome here, and Gaz for taking me out in his wonderful car. It was great going to the rare-vehicles meet I may see you all at Japfest/Simply Japanese this year :) Tommo

Erm I feel sorry for this Z32
Yeah some kit cars/replica's can look totally amazing, but this one just confirms the bad stereotype...

Erm I feel sorry for this Z32
According to the discription below the "item" this is Z32 300ZX... trying to take an unbiased opinion of it (I love the Z32 looks) I don't really think you could call it an improvement :( http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2013-Lamborghini-Reventon-kit-car-95-finished-Turn-key-running-and-driving-/261297946421?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item3cd6923f35 Tommo

Hey guys, won't be able to make the services meet beforehand but should be at the venue shortly after, though as I'm not a Z owner yet I don't suppose it matters :) Safe driving everyone

Is anyone around to see a 300ZX
It was very in depth which was great. Also some very interesting points raised, and the drive was great too, showed all sides of the Zed. Makes me excited about the car, something I haven't had for awhile :D I will try and make the meet on the first sept :)

Yeah it was really good, tha is for the drive too, it was great and very different to the one I tried years ago. Now to have a ponder and work out the costs of getting rid of mine and sourcing a lovely Z ;)

Is anyone around to see a 300ZX
I'm interested in seeing as many as possible (another reason I'm bummed I can't make the meets). I am free most weekends & evenings after 5pm, though between the 21st and 24th August I won't be free due to the inlaws coming over

Would be great to see either of your guys cars, as said doesn't need to be moving :) Let me know times and we can arrange something. Steve I know clutch pain from my MG, apparently they made it out of chocolate :( Tom

Is anyone around to see a 300ZX
Hey guys, I couldn't make Simply Japanese as my holiday overran (gutted x100), and looking at the Hayes meet I won't be able to come to that either due to other commitments (gutted x1000). I still haven't been up close to a Z32 yet and was wondering if anyone was free in the hampshire area for me to pop along. I can come to you and don't need a passenger ride or anything, just would like to come sit in/chat etc. I'm located in Winchester so within striking distance from there would be grand. Thanks Tom

Thanks Richard, it will be an easy thing to do the turbo care bit. My daily is also a twin turbo so have to wait 30secs after gentle driving or 5 mins after blasting around. Though I've gotten so bad about it I will hide in a side road before pulling into a petrol station... makes me look like a right shady character :( Oh well as least I won't have any turbo bills :) Gotten a bunch of q's to ask people when I come along to simple japanese in over a month's time. Trying to get a friend with an Impreza to come down so I don't have to use my daily :thumbup1:

Engine swap advice please!
Just on the point about garages accepting work. About 6 months ago before I got rid of my ZT the ignition barrel broke immobilisting the car. Anyway the first garage I went to (proudly advertsing: "Specialist in all British makes of car, MG/Austin..." Blah) said truefully "we don't want to touch your car mate, so I'm going to quote you £1,000 for the work in the hope you go away". It later cost me £170 to fix it all at a forum sourced person. Tom

That meet sounds like a great idea. I'm hoping I can get 7 for my car when I sell it, then 5 for the ZX and rest put aside for potential bills. My current car is a twin turbo so my first question would be around turbo care. Right now I have to let them cool properly, so if I come home like a scud missile then I give it 5 mins to let the oil cool the turbo's, is that the same for these TT's too? Tom
