Hey guys, I know alot of people do it but as i have had both turbos replaced already I'm quite cautious and like to make sure everything's cool. I just wanted to know if decatting a TT has any negative effects for the turbos? I.e wear them out quicker or not good for them etc. Thanks Sav

Hi all, Im looking for an exhaust for my 2+2 LWB widearch, i dont think the widearch makes too much of a difference to the exhaust im able to get but want something that sounds tuned and on the loud side - i really like the hks hi power but im aware you can only get that on the swb... Thanks Sav

Yeh i was thinking they may be similar but have a feeling it may be slightly different in colour. And the onLy place i can find on a uk website is vividracing, i dont really trust anything else and when importing the courier costs are way too much.

Thanks for the reply mate, my main concern was if there was a difference in the weave and colour as my vis has a brown tint and as for the style, im looking for an oem style anyway, standard flat carbon bonnet. Waiting time is maximum 15days on seibon and over 2months on vis.

Hello....i just got my car back from JeffTT and am ready to roll...almost anyways lol...what do i do then...do i just say 1 stand pass for 1 car or amount of people in the car? Hi jeff!i only just managed to get around to doing the self diagnostic today and pulled up codes 33 and 53 which are both the exhaust gas sensors. I changed the PTU to a series 2 for good measure went up the road and did the same thing. These sensors, whats the best way of sorting them out ie cleaning or replace and would this actually cause the car to cut out like it has. I also have oil in the drivers side exhaust now and as i popped the bonnet earlier when the car cut out there was smoke coming from the engine bay above the drivers turbo. As the car is blowing out oil, could this also mean a turbo on the way out? Cars more hassle than anything but i bloody love it! Help please... Thanks!! Sav

As an update I have read up the symptoms of a PTU failure on the series 1 PTU's. The symptoms seem exactly the same. I also had inconsistent issues over the last few months of starting the car where it would take a good few seconds of turning the key over to start the car. I believe this may be linked as I have a series 1 ptu. It was a very hot day that day and the heat is a big factor in there failire.have bought a series 2 PTU so when it arrivea I will try that and hope all issues go away!

I was driving around all day today mainly on long runs but as i got to town and was at traffic lights or roundabouts i.e slow traffic, the cars revs and power seemed very inconsistent. At first it was dipping in revs and seemed to cut in and out and then just as i was coming home tonight sat at traffic lights the car was dipping in revs and seemed as if the car was trying to stay on...i then went to take off and there was no power and seemed as if the car was struggling to go. I had my foot down but was fighting against cutting out. I pulled over and turned the engine off. Waited 5 mins and started it back up turning off the headunit...after that it was fine. The battery is less than a year old and the heaviest duty u can get however i have a subwoofer in the car and after turning head unit off seemed ok. I keep reading the alternator is a common fault and if so does this sound like an alternator problem? And also is it an expensive fix? Thanks!

Ive got a bit of welding thats been getting done today to get me through MOT and if all goes well and the bill isnt too high then ill be adding myself to the list...dont wanna miss this opportunity!
