torque converter - drive plate - prop shaft - and gearbox is longer

Swap to a manual gearbox ...........been there got the tee shirt , two auto boxes later , still no joy , converted to manual , Happy as a pig in poo now !!

well i`ve swopped the power steering pump and its still the same ........... looks like ill have to find a rack ??????

yes i left the man one in the man box . i am going to check the voltage at the solenoid on the rack in the morning . to try and narrow it down

a did a auto/man conversion . all there is on the man box is speedo drive and reverse switch , so the power steering must take its info from the speedo drive ?

there is no revolution sensor on the man box . not sure what it does though

After about 15 mins driving the power steering goes stiff , slow down and it gets better , fluid level , belt tension , all ok ?????? all ive done lately is swop from auto to man box . Its N/A so no hicas

My springs have seen better days , front ones mainly, the car sits a bit low and it seems a bit firm on the ride . Would i be better off with after market ones or standard . All i want is to improve the `ride`feel and lift her up a bit . What you think ?

Yep ! But you need to change the engine drive plate /torque converter/ front half of prop shaft/and trans ecu all from a TT ( gearbox mount you can use from your NAbut you have to spin it 180%)................. top tip though convert to manual !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

has any one got a prop shaft for a turbo ? dont need the rear half or the support bearing , just the front bit . pleeze !!!!

Hi Andy sorry i didnt make myself clear , i dont mean the engine management i mean the auto box control ecu . Reason is i am thinking of swapping a N/A Box to a TT Auto box , so might need the ecu (for the respective box ?)Cheers

Any body know if the auto twin turbo ECU is interchangable with none turbo ECU ( gearbox control not engine management) Ta

Hi, Im looking for an auto box to replace mine (n/a) and the only ones i can find are TT . Are they interchangable ?

Just a thought , i wouldnt put WD on the caliper rubbers cos it damages them . Only use propper silicone grease.
