  1. Well I'm on a Type R forum and the amount of people on there with the looked after, low mileage and undamaged examples (believe me there's not many) that have 2 or three of them, and why? Because they can I suppose, old cars in demand only get rarer! And people trying to make a profit on them don't help matters lol
  2. It's obviously because of my age but if it makes you feel any better - I pay just short of £2000 for insurance :scared:
  3. I don't have much of a clue about automatics, but my dad's mk1 cortina with a rover v8 in it is an automatic! Apparently very good for drag racing? I know haha! Never felt so welcomed anywhere before! I noticed this thread has had over 500 views in just a day :scared: Learnt quite a lot just by what I'm being told in this thread it's great! I'm a bit afraid of replies to this but before I got interested in the zx's I really wanted a civic type r! The EP3 model, been in a friends and they're really good! Honda did great getting all that out of a 2L N/A is all I can say! It's a very good looking car! And price! I may be viewing another car later this week (It's a SWB N/A) but I'll see what happens!
  4. I can't imagine my first car being that powerful, the car I own right now (first car I've ever owned) is about 70bhp! I very much look forward to experiencing what a zx's are like to drive. My dad did own a 350z earlier this year with a few nice mods on it, and I was wowed by the performance of that :D it just didn't feel happy at all going 30mph everywhere though. I hope the 300zx's don't feel like that I can't risk my insurance going up any!
  5. I'm not used to driving anything fast so I'm confident a NA will be shock enough to my system! If a mint TT popped up for a good price I'd probably snatch it up though! Thanks for the advice! :)
  6. Some good advice in here :D Insurance doesn't seem to be much different, maybe by pounds if it's an import, that's not a bother for me! I'm used as a taxi sometimes though, like last night my friend wanted picking up but my brother was with me etc! I know the 2+2 is the wisest choice for me.. but I dunno :( I might end up with a LWB instead! But still has to be manual and prefferably NA :P
  7. Not run for the hills just yet! I'm currently on a corsa forum (we all start somewhere!) - if I can put up with what people are like on there then being here is like being treated as royalty haha! Thanks for the welcomes guys. To be honest, I've no problem with the LWB, I just want a SWB so I can say I've got a two seater :winkiss: It's a bit rarer too I like rare things :D and it's shorter, so less car to worry about when parking :P
  8. That'd be different! I'll have to see how I feel when I've owned one for a while :P Just plan on babying it for the first while of owning it! Maybe I'll have some plans further down the line :D
  9. Haha thanks man! Think the site might help a lot with finding one! Twin Turbo is actually cheaper! But for running costs etc I'd rather the N/A! :P
  10. it's mrtnwlsb@aol.com, very sorry about that missed out the n haha.
  11. I understand and agree, but I've got a 50 year old dad that knows what he's doing and loves these cars too so I'm sure I'll be okay, thanks haha. I'm excellent with my money and cars are where most my money goes to, I'd rather the money and a bit more go on a car I like a lot :)
  12. People like you are my worst enemy at the moment then! haha!
  13. Haha! I do believe that though! They are fantastic cars, but they should have made a few more SWB for my sake to make things easier finding one though!
  14. I'll send an email then, thankyou :)
  15. Hi, I had a look at a SWB this morning priced at £1000, driveable but needs a bit more work than I'm prepared to do! So they must be out there, I'm 20 years old working minimum wage hence not being able to spend too much. I can hardly control that, I would if i could! lol. I discovered that the insurance for me on one of these is considerably cheap - such nice cars too! I just came here to share love for the same car as the rest of you and thought I could get a bit of help finding one :)
